Suzanne2008-12-13 10:35:46Interesting blog.   Not good  at all.I've said it before... it scares the hell out of me to think government is going to have rule over my meds/disease.....

We need LESS government.. NOT MORE... is it more corruptable?  Not likely.
Well, it is happening with private healthcare, obviousy.

Just wanted to point that out.
We need LESS government.. NOT MORE... is it more corruptable? Not likely.
Isn't that what Wall Street said?

edited for spelling. It's hard to avoid typos with a cat laying along your arm.

Gimpy-a-gogo2008-12-13 14:30:31Gimpy....How is it happening? Not so obvious for me

am I missing something again?
IO, you have private healthcare now, and it already happened.

Do not be deceived that only Government has corrupt people in it (just look at Wall Street). There are always a certain amount of corrupt people in the world , be they in public or private sector, and believe me, the market forces can't control them. The only defence angainst corruption is regulation.

To argue that getting rid of regulation will inhibit corruption is magical thinking. The less rules there are, the more corruption will take place.

I am not decieved. I personally think our country is in trouble from all the Greed.

The only defense is regulation? You mean like Canada?
IO, not sure how Canada fits in, but okay.

So, does deregulation prevent greed?

Canada: your health care system is government ran...right?

Gimp: As an American, I do not see a government controlled health care system as our answer. There is nothing obvious that the system is corrupt. I believe the article was just posing a question...could it?

Maybe one day we will move to a regulated healthcare for all. But for now in my country, I don't see it. There may need to be reform. but not one socialist healthcare plan for all.

Not something I meant to debate, just don't see the "obvious" that you see. sorry.

(PS. Our health care insurance system is government run)

Gimmpy,

You have your right to think what you like , as do I.
I will not engage with you over something that we obviously will not agree on. Have a nice weekend, and I hope it is pain free for you.
