I Haven't been very active on here lately but I just wanted to let you all know that last Wednesday a fire started in my son's bedroom( Lamp) . Luckily we were all having dinner at the time and we were able to get ourselves and our animals out safely. Its been all too devisating to our family especially right before Christmas. We lost all our present that wer ein my bedroom. Thats what hurts the most.!! Everyone has been very kind and generous to us and we are lucky we were not asleep or away . What it looks like now is about 2 months for the house to be partially re constructed and we were able to rent a house short term. My arthritis is really flaring, I contribute to the snow storm and all the moving of things from our house.

Sorry to be so glum.  I talk to a few of you and I wanted to let you know. Be thankful for what you have !!!! We have found that we are grateful to have each other!
Oh my gosh, I am so sorry.  But at least you all got out safely and that's the main thing.  I hate hearing news like this, especially so close to christmas.

I am so sorry to hear this. It is a good thing you were there so there wasn't more damage. I am glad that you all got out safely.I am so glad you are all ok...its the most important thing. Im not surprised that you are flaring bad, its must have been so scary and stressful.  Im sorry you lost all your presents in the fire but they are secondary when it comes to your  safety and well being. I wish you all the best for chrsitmas and the new year and hope 2009 brings you lot of happiness. Take care now xThat is not a good lead into Christmas but the saving grace is that you are all safe.

Sorry to hear about this.
Chrise - there isn't much to say, except how its obvious how grateful you are that everyone came out alive.  I am surprised at the numbers of people I know who have had house fires.  This will be your best Christmas ever, as adversity always bring out the best in humans.  Take care.So sorry this happened to you. Glad you are all OK.  Will insurance replace the gifts? Sorry this happened to you- especially during this time of year!I am so sorry and I am glad your family is ok.  Please try and have a Merry Christmas, you deserve it!!I am so so glad to hear no one was hurt.  You hang in there.  I know how bad fires can we.  We have had two in our lifetime.  One electrical and one the neighbor actually started.  :(

Fires really scare me.  There was one up the road three days ago.  They were not so lucky.  The grandmother shoved her husband out the bedroom window then her granddaughter, but not before she got badly burned.  Then she went back in to try and save the family pets.  Didn't make it.  The granddaughter is in another state at a burn unit.  But expected to make it.

My prayers go out to you and anyone who has had to deal with this kind of thing.  Stay strong and know a lot of people are praying for you.
Chrise - I'm so sorry to hear about this.  I truly hope you get the flare under control.  Fire is one of the scariest things.  Hugs and more hugs,

Pip

So sorry this has happened to you and your family, Chrise.  I guess there's only one way to look at it..it could have been worse...but still..what an awful thing to happen.  Sending prayers and thoughts your way!Thats just terrible. But like you said yoou are all safe. That is what is important. Several years ago we had to jump out of a two story window at four in the morning lost everything. We lived in an apartment and a nieghbor started a fire. We were just happy to be a live.I am so sorry.  At least you and the animals are all safe, and the house wasnt destroyed.. About 8 years ago my sister and her  family had their house burn completely.. They were rescued from the kitchen roof, they lost all their house pets as well.

Its a traumatic loss for you.. Allow yourself to grieve.

So sorry for your loss, it is a discomfort to be "displaced", especially during a Holiday Season. I bet this will be a Christmas your family will never forget. I hope the memories will be pleasant and warm despite of the circumstances you are facing. I am so happy that everyone was safe. That is a Blessing right there! Take care and Best Wishes to you and yours,

Lisa

Oh how awful!   It's such a frightening thing for anyone to imagine, and you have lived through it!  I'm glad that everyone is okay, but I know this is very hard on you, both physically and emotionally.  Take care of each other, and be patient with everyone, especially yourself! Hopfully you will be back in your home very soon.Wow.  I am so sorry for what you've lost, but I'm thankful that it's just stuff and that you and your family are all ok.  I don't mean that it's "just" stuff though, I know their are many important, irreplaceable things you had that meant a lot to you.  I hope you can find joy in the kindness of your friends and family this Christmas, and peace in being surrounded by the people you love.  Chris,

I'm so sorry.  Thanks goodness you were all able to get out safely.

Like Linncn said, I'm sorry things were lost and damaged but hopefully with your friends and loved ones all together the holidays will bring some joy.

I too, am sorry for the fire. Be thankful for the things in life that can't be bought: your family, friends, and health.
My prayers are with you and your family.
Bless you all!

I am so sorry to hear about that.  The good part is that you are all alive and have each other.  Hiking_gal
