HI guys, yes I think so. My GP said recently that she thought I may have another fracture from too much walking (with my roller/walker) at Seaworld a couple of weeks ago.
The trouble is that I thought I had redamaged the first unhealed fracture, but it appears to be the fifth metatarsal, most f the pain occuring at the base of the 5th. I really don't want to wear a cumbersome air boot again for 8 weeks, it hurts all my joints trying to get it on! Does anyone know if you can by a foot splint? That would be so much easier. I went for my first walk yesterday in a long time and it was definitely worse when I got home, that is when I noticed how bad it was. I have been hardly doing any walking due to terrible fatigue and RA pain 24/7, any ideas? It is getting so depressing fracturing my feet just from walking!!!!!!!! HUgs Janie.

I remember you last air boot adventure. Not good.
I think a splint would be a great idea. Maybe if you can't buy one, the Occupational Therapists at the local hospital could make you one? My suggestion would be to contact the OT at your local Community Health and tell them what you need. I am pretty sure that they would be able to help with this. It's worth a try anyway.
SeaWorld would have been worth it anyway, Janie. Sometimes it is just worth dealing with the physical of pushing ourselves to do something wonderful with our kids. It helps us psychologically I believe, to get out and do some stuff like a day at SeaWorld. I would have gone too. Time like that with our kids is so special.
Check out the OT at Community Health, darl. I am pretty sure they can help.

Thanks Cords, I will phone my O/T at the hospital and see if they can make me one, thing is, they take forever to get back to you. I really did appreciate going to Seaworld with the boys, it was worth it. yes Snowowl, I take actonel combi, that is Risedronate once a week, and 1250mg every day except Rised. day, thanks for asking and thanks for your kind advice.
