Re-starting Humira | Arthritis Information

Has anyone here been on Humira then moved to something else only to have that fail and then gone back to the Humira and have it work for them?  I was on Humira for a little while, but only took about 5 injections.  I kept having problems that my pcp thought were from the medication so under his advice I asked my RD if I could try Enbrel again as my pcp felt it was safer for me.  She obliged, but Enbrel has had a very minimal effect on my RA.  If I could just stop getting these stupid sinus infections long enough for a drug to work it would help too.

Hi Bob, I went backwards.  I breezed through AP,MXT,Enbrel,Humira,Remicade and then went back to Humira with an increase in MXT and added Sulfasalazine and within 4 weeks or so I saw a significant difference and am now in clinical remission for over a year.  Yes, you can restart meds and be successful.  Most of the time you'll have to fine tune some other drugs.  It's a matter of finding the right combo at the right dose.  I haven't been plagued by infections and I know I've been lucky.  Hopefully you can get them under control.  Lindy
