Hi there I was wondering if anybody can answer my question I am 27 been diagnosed with RA for 2 years now.  I was brushing my teeth and noticed above my front teeth that there is like a discoloration of my gums on the top and bottom.  Kinda like a brown or blueish color.  Never had teeth problems before.  Currently taking Arava, prednisone, celebrex, lodine, plaquinel also just started remicade but noticed the discoloration before remicade.  Unfortunatly I am a smoker but not that much maybe 7 a day.I just dont know what it could be can anybody help please let me know and I do have some pain meds that I take as well.  THANK YOU DAWN
With RA, it is really important to stay healthy.  Have you talked to anyone about getting help to quit smoking?  I don't mean like a doctor, but just someone to be accountable to, like a good friend or husband.
Well you see I have been smoking for a while but I only really smoke about 6 cigs a day if that.  I dont smoke at home around the kids nor in my car just at work from the stress.  I been to the dentist a month ago and everything looked good then.  As I was brushing its just a little spot not like all over just two little spots on the top and bottom and was wondering if this has happened because of the meds but I go for my second Remicade treatment tomorrow and will ask the doc then.  I know this is going to sound funny but I stopped drinking alcohol, coffee and I just wont give up the few cigs that I enjoy.  But thanks anyways
