After the Rose Parade and unused flowers including roses are gathered up by a local church and taken to senior residences in the area. THe seniors are thrilled. Great idea.!!THis was in Pasadena, CAI wonder what they do with the floats after the parade? Do they dismantle them and give those too? I always watched the parade in awe but also thought about what a waste of flowers. I never like fresh cut flowers. I would rather have a plant that grows. My hubby always gets me a plant or a potted flowers for special occassions. I want it to grow and be beautiful. That's just me and my weirdness. LOLI think they use them as a potpourri.
