I know of a all natural omega 3 that is helping ypoung and old with there arthritis better than anything they have ever taken. Ask his drs. about fish oil for him - I know young children can take it, they make pediatric versions that taste good, lemon-y. It has Omega-3s.
My daughter was diagnosed at age 2 with severe jra and I remember how bad it was then, but I want you to know it does get better.
Does your grandson see a pediatric rheumatologist? Hopefully, with the right meds, he won't need a wheelchair. Since he is only three, can you get by with a stroller for now? My advice would be to not spend a lot on wheelchairs, vans, etc., until you cannot manage without it. I don't think the way he is now is the way he will stay, once he gets some more treatment.
