Suzanne2009-01-07 12:13:10I have a friend who has this chronically ... had to have platelets given before she delivered her twins by cesarean....  and my oldest son had ITP at age 4 from a virus (as the docs at Childrens Hospital said) and to make a long story short.. they told us no cure.. runs it's normal duration of a year to 1 1/2 or more... I spoke w/ a nutritionist friend.. we started him on 1000 vit C and rose hips and he was getting normal blood tests in 3 months.. and they continued thereafter......  the doctors said:  I don't know what you did right but this is the fastest recovery of  ITP I've ever seen... I told him what I did and he guffawed and coughed and ignored that completely.......what is ITP?It's initials refering to:  immune thrombocytopenic purpura or idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.....

It is like a temporary hemophelia.... very simply, your blood doesn't clot.. the white cells destroy the platelets..

It's dangerous.. You could bleed to death..

My son was four years old.. unable to run.. ride his big wheel.. had to wear a cushion helmet when he went outside to play.....
Wow- but you can get cured of it?

Duh- read a little bit wannabe- don't mind me

edited to acknowledge my stupidity.
