Welcome to Arthritis Insight...
It is such a pleasure to see all all of the new people who have joined our wonderful support group.
This is a place where "everyone knows your name" and we are so happy that you have dropped by, looked around and decided to join us.
Having to deal with RA and other Auto Immune diseases is hard enough but to have to possible deal with them alone ...can make life less that bearable.
Through our friendships here at AI, we have learned how to listen, understand and to have empathy for others who are going through the same ups and downs with RA and other Auto Immune diseases as we are. No one is EVER alone in here. We all have gained valuable knowledge but more than that we all have also gained valuable friendship, that helps us along the rough and often tumultuous roads we have to walk.
We hope, in time, that your will considered us your second family.

I'm not new, I'm just re-registered. =) You guys really should set up a redirect from the old forums URL ( http://www.arthritisinsight.com/cgi-bin/wsmbb/wsmbb.cgi?conf ig) to here. I kept checking back there to find out if the boards were back up, and I didn't hit on the new forums til just now.

We can not do a re-direct, as we are only members like you. and who ever is the administrator or owner of this forum...rarely, if ever, does anything in here.
I put up the welcome note so the new members would feel like they are more than guest in here...
Sorry it took so long for you to find your way back to the forum...but we are glad you did.

It's odd - when the original forums went down, I had a friend willing to re-build them and do it securely. He emailed and offered and never received a response to his email. :(

Hatari....No, I am definitely not in charge and it does not surprise me that your friend didn't receive any word back from who ever this site belonged to, when your friend made them an offer. I believe this site was sold to who ever runs it now. Not sure, just something I heard through the grapevine.
We are sorta on our on in here but I think we do a pretty darn good job of keeping this support group together and with NO problems..."SO EVERY ONE, STAND UP AND TAKE A BOW" ...Cause you all do some great work in here.
Nyali...Thank you for the compliment...I am just like so many people in here...I came to be with people who are going through the same problems I am and I try to help the best I can. We all deserve to be treated with respect and understanding.... and I agree with you, they need a cat icon and a dog icon too. It would make me smile, just like yourself.
