I just got back from a ski trip, and it was awesome!  I only had one issue which was getting one of my boots on, but my hubby helped each day.  We had a blast!  LaExcellent! Good to get out there and moving. My family starts our Friday night ski package next week. It goes for 6 Fridays. I am looking forward to it because it is so fun.

Sometimes I have problems with my shoulders. Not an issue really as long as I don't fall.good for you!!!  glad you can do this .. and enjoy it so much.Sounds like you showed the ole RA!

I am happy you had a good time and a minor but easily fixed issue.

You know how sometimes you try something to prove RA it does not own you and then you run into all kinds of issues, which you try to take in stride, but then when one too many of the issues gets to you, you are even more depressed and in dispare than before trying to prove you can do something.

I think my above senerio most happens when you try to push yourself to do something you just want to do, even though you are not ready to do it. It does cause more harm than good. I have learnt that over the last couple of years.

BTW... my above senerio is not aimed at you, TheLa. It was just something that popped into my head, because I am struggling with a few issues of wanting to do something I am not totally sure I can do yet, but I do not want to bring myself down from the state if mind I am in right now, if I decide to try and fail. If you know what I mean!

But you are an inspiration for me! Thanks!
joonie2009-01-09 07:51:12Glad you had fun and were able to do what you enjoy! Hope you had a martini at some point too!wtg, La!  Glad you had such a good time! Thanks guys-It was helpful that I have been able to maintain my exercise routine, and the fact that my meds have worked so well. I really feel for everyone who haven't been as lucky.  I do hope it is encouraging.

Joonie-I know you weren't being negative.  It's ok to share your own feelings, I'm just glad to see that you're doing better than this time last year.

Wanttobe-I had one martini xmas eve and toasted you!  And I had one martini on my ski trip, that one made me feel kind of crappy.  Now time to detox for a while.  I probably won't have one till my February ski trip.  BTW did you check my bump on your MTX thread? La
Snow-I'm pretty good.  I've skied since I was itty bitty.  I can go down some black runs, but there was a lot of blue ice.  My shoulder(torn rotator cuff)has me very cautious about ice.

Our new kitty Marley was soooo happy to see us.  He ran to me, and loved on me like never before.  He had a lot of newness...first an all day trip to my parents.  Then he gets used to their house, and we left him for a week.  He's so outgoing I thought he would get attention from the sitter, but she never saw him!  By the way, he learned to jump on kitchen counters when he was alone...good times!  He has been relentless with that new trick.Bump for SnowLa- Marley is a RagDoll right? My SIL is looking into adopting one. He's half Ragdoll and half Snowshoe Siamese.  They look basically the same, but Ragdolls are longhair and Snowshoes are short.  He is an awesome cat!I remember he is very handsome!
