DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO GET RID OF MUSCLE SPASMS FOREVER? Well, there really is no "forever" cure for muscle spasms.  We can only control it.  In my case, I've had a back surgery due to car accident injuries and developed back spasms.  I take soma to relieve me from the pain.  But if ever you hear any info of getting a long-term solution, please do inform us!  Thanks.
Ive always noticed with mine that when my diet was clean I would get less spasms. Not sure if it had to do with sodium intake or what but when i lowered sodium they were less frequent. I have had FMS for 15 years now and a new condition has appeared,,,Muscle spazms in my neck and also in my spine,,, its the most horriable pain you can feel, i was given Valium for the pain and have been on the same pain med for 15 years Darvocet...it doesnt even begin to aid the pain,, It just seems the more the arthritis spreads the more it gets worse, will I be in a weelchair by the time i turn 60?!? I am 40 now so i was young when diagonsed and i just want to say that muscle spazms are the worst pain i have EVER felt....]

Very Good!Hi all, I just wanted to find out if anyone has tried calcium and madnesium together know of someone who tried this remedy and it brought great relief. Stretch calves regularly throughout the day and at night. Drink six to eight glasses of water daily. Doing so will help prevent dehydration, which may play a role in the cramping.

Keep blankets loose at the foot of the bed to prevent your toes and feet from pointing downward while you sleep. I hope this helps somehow.http://www.arthritisjointpaingone.com

I used to get spasms all the time in my legs and my feet. Since I have started walking regularly, eating a healthier, well-rounded diet and especially drinking a lot more water (which I think is very important for this), I have found that they are almost non-existent. I know a lot of people recommend vitamins, but if you eat a varied diet full of healthy food, you shouldn't need any...unless you have a deficiency for some reason.

Cut down on caffeine (drink less tea and coffee) take more fruit juice instead. Yoga is also recommended to help you relax. You could also try deep breathing and muscle relaxation techniques. Finally avoid stress at all costs.
