Starts tonight at 8:00 Eastern.  New judge, too. Suzanne-

Some people really seem to like American Idol.  I've never really gotten into it, but if you like it, enjoy.
It's fun to watch with my girls!

We like the new judge, and we liked the contestant named Stevie that the female judges really liked, too.  We did not like the Bikini Girl that the male judges liked, but she did sing better than we thought she would.
Suzanne2009-01-14 08:59:40I like the new judge as well.  Bikini girl..nice body..no doubt about that...but her voice...just ok.Kelstev-

Like your Canadian flag!!!!!  a real Canadian.
Thanks, Jan.I love American Idol. I love the new judge. She is way more qaulified than Paula, who is corny at best. I liked the rocker girl with the colored hair and tattoos ( didn't care for the looks) but she could sing. Bikini girl was my least favorite that got through. They will set her up for the big let down I am sure. I am a true fan of the show.
Suzanne-

Suzanne- My sister is totally addicted to the show.  She plans her schedule around it.  If anyone calls her during the show, they get an earful!!! Well, I've got to switch back and forth between Idol and the Lost recap tonight. Idol.. watched for only the second time tonight..  w/ my YDD and her BF...... It's FUN to watch w/ someone.......  I feel really bad for some who think they can sing.. I KNOW I can't

LOST.... now THAT"S a show!!  can't wait til next week..
I watch but often through my fingers over my eyes, because I get so embarrassed for some of the contestants.

However I really liked the man whose wife  had recently passed away..and there were a couple others.

If you really enjoy Idol.. take a look at this...its an audition from  the UK version.. amazing..

watch  Simon's face as he listens..

Kathy I loved the video. It gives me chills and a sense of good in the world when you see examples of talent undiscovered being discovered.

There were quite a few good contestants last night, but the standout for me was on the first night the rocker girl with the colored hair.
Kathy! Wasnt' that young man sensational...????  I Loved that..Suzanne-

It sounds like it would be fun to watch with your girls.  Something they would enjoy.
we have Paul Potts singing saved to our You Tube favorites and watch it often.. he is just magnificant. Suzanne-

You'll have to keep us posted.
I don't think it is back on until next week.  Tuesday maybe?  I know they moved 'House' to Monday. I'm a big fan too and watch with my 20 year old daughter. We even have my hubby watching it. I have been a fan since the first season. My two sisters also watch it. Sometimes I will have younger sis on phone and we watch it together over the phone.
We get a good laugh out of it but it has also produced many talented people and made their dreams come true.
Is it on again tonight?I love American idol. Yes jan it is on tonight. Yeah. I also love the new judge. She is more qaulified than dingy Paula. I'll try and watch some of it.I wonder if Suzanne watched Idol last night.
I wonder if Suzanne watched Idol last night.
We missed it!  Took a trip for the long weekend and got in late.  I'll be flipping back and forth during 'Lost' tonight, though.
Suzanne-

I wondered where you were.

I DVR the show and other shows I like to watch. That way I don't have to be home or in front of the Television.  I fast forward the commercials, I can watch a half hour show in less than 20 minutes!

Stinker-

Fast forwarding commercials sound great!!!!

Anyone going to watch tonight?

Alan Osmands son is trying out for American Idol........Alan is crying...wish he wouldn'tif David Osmond makes it to the show and Donny is on Dancing With the Stars the osmond fingers will be blistered from all that dialing...lol...Buckeye

I didn't think the guy with the rabbit voice was all that bad. Going to rewind and listen again..
okay he wasn't very good. Better than I could do, but not very good. I agree with no ticket.Didn't see it this time.  Thanks for the report.I saw some Tuesday, but not last night.  I'm tired of auditions!  Do they go to Hollywood next week?  I ready for it to be down to enough 'characters' to keep up with.

Every single time I watch the Paul video I get chills and my heart pounds - and the tears abundantly flow!

I watched last night, but I was also reading. There was an island girl, 16, I think? When she started singing she totally got my attention.
I saw some Tuesday, but not last night.  I'm tired of auditions!  Do they go to Hollywood next week?  I ready for it to be down to enough 'characters' to keep up with. my favorites thus far, have come through....  even though I didn't see them all talk or perform last night.. I think they are all still in it... even Norman Gentle (funny guy -good singer)

The welder? the big burly guy w/ the soft voice... did he make it?  He's the one I don't know about........
I can't really keep up with their names until there are less than a dozen.   Except Norman Gentle, smart move for him to have a name I can remember early.  the welder made it
I can't really keep up with their names until there are less than a dozen.   Except Norman Gentle, smart move for him to have a name I can remember early.
