Ok, so I was getting those headaches right?

Well... I ran out of my blood pressure meds, pharmacy did not have them filled, took them a coup0le of days to get to filling my RXs. And I missed one dose. I take 2 a day. So... I missed the one I take before I go to sleep.

Well... I had had headaches all that week, and then I miss that one dose and the next morning my head did not hurt any!

So... my question is...

can blood pressure meds cause you to have headaches/migraines?

I read that BP meds were given to help with migraines... so why would mine cause them?
Maybe your body doesn't like that chemical.  Allergy perhaps?  I definitely would tell your doctor.Yeah... I am going to make an appt with my GP soon. I have no more refills on my BP meds and I will discuss it with him then. But since I have only been taking one 12.5mg the last couple of days. I have not had no headaches or migraines.

Maybe I do not need BP meds anymore? I will see when I go back to my GP soon. Going to call Monday to make an appt. Until then I will continue to take 12.5mg 2 times a day.
O yea, for sure they can give you headaches. I used to take Zestril and got headaches everyday from it. Soon I stopped, no more headaches. Joonie, I take Coreg 6.25mg twice daily for BP and while it wasn't giving me headaches it did make the muscles in my arms and legs to feel much weaker than they already are.  I came up with this by taking them as directed...then tried cutting the dose in half and it has improved a good bit.  I'm going to find a new PCP as my current one doesn't listen very well when I tell him about things like this.

Bob
Hummm... Bob... now you gave me something to think about.

Maybe my BP meds are too high? You said you take 6.25mg twice a day. I take 12.5mg twice a day. I do fine with just one 12.5mg once a day, as evident when I ran out and took 12.5mg once that day. Headaches went away. Soo...

Well... that could be it. Would be nice if I could just get off the BP meds all together.

Hope you are feeling a bit better, Bob.
