Pip,
I am sorry, I don't get it. Is is believed to cause RA? I tried to understand but way over my head. I am truly lost.
Hey, sTink!

We get to be quite good at reading this ...fun stuff...over time.

In this case, these researchers checked the stool of babies who were diagnosed with eczema.  The kids who had eczema had less gut diversity than the healthy (control) kids.  This ties into that thread earlier in which some blogger doc questioned replacing gut bacteria (made up of good and bad bacteria) with probiotics.

There is a TON of research, all easily accessable, on Pubmed which suggests that a healthy gut biota means better immunity.  In the case of us sickies - it suggests that a healthy gut means less severity in our journey with these diseases.

It has been suggested that some/if not all AI diseases are a reaction to allergens - so, this coming out of Clinical and Molecular Allergy (partly Harvard) is huge.

Finally - docs are even studing probiotics and seeing they lessen genetic diseases like Tay Sachs.

Thanks Pip.

I admit, goes over my head. Thanks again.
Interesting...very interesting indeed.
