I work for HealthEd which is a health education agency based in Cheshire. We are developing two disease awareness websites for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Psoriatic Arthritis, and we would like to carry out some research interviews with a number of people, patients and healthcare professionals, to gain feedback and insights into the disease, so that we can shape the content accordingly. Our client is a major pharmaceutical company looking to provide online support and disease information to patients, families and carers. The information in the site will not be product specific and will not try to ‘sell’ products. The websites will be educational and sponsored by the pharmaceutical company as a service to medicine.
We are conducting interviews next week on Wed 28th and Thurs 29th Jan (afternoon and evening) in Perry Barr, West Midlands and we still need to find:
1 x newly diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis patient (<3 years since diagnosis)
2 x long-term rheumatoid arthritis patients on DMARD therapy (by long term we mean 3 years or more on DMARDs)
1 x carer / family member (not related/known to patients above)
You must use the internet (but can have varying degrees of usage)
Interviews will last an hour. We will need to ask potential participants a few screening questions first over the phone. All those who take part will be paid an honorarium of £30 for their interview. Travel costs will be reimbursed for a standard class train ticket or 40p per mile for travel by car.
