very OT freaky doll experience | Arthritis Information

We are doing a major attic clean out still.  Yesterday I found a box of my older daughter's toys that I had saved for my younger one and forgotten about.

Inside was a doll that she never really liked and I had saved because it was practically brand new.   It was one of those that looks better on TV.  I think it was called Amazing Baby?  There was an Amazing Ally that talked, etc., but she liked babies better and wanted that.  It was supposed to 'learn' things the more you played with it.

Well, she never cared for it.  All it did was say, "I'm thirsty" and the minute you gave it a bottle it said, "I'm sleepy" and as fast as you gave it whatever it slept with it, it said "I'm thirsty" again.  Okay, kind of like motherhood...

So it had been in the attic for five or maybe even six years.  They were going the through the box, and I heard a doll's voice say, "I love you, Mommy".  I couldn't believe it still worked when they turned it on!  Well, that was back in the day, before I started buying dollar store batteries.

We got over that surprise, and it started being thirsty and sleepy, like always.  We remembered why she never liked it and they were ready to get rid of it.

Then it said, "Can I have some applesauce?"

Applesauce?  It never wanted....solid food.....before......

"Do you want to play hide and go seek?  1, 2, 3, 4, 5......"

OMG!!!!!!

"Let's sing a song!"

We were freaking out!!!!  It was like it was 5 or 6 now!  There must be some time chip in there or something.  Totally totally freaky.  I was like, make sure you turn it off so it isn't waking me up asking to go potty in the middle of the night.

We also found a Talking Rugrats clock.  Hubby said keep it, they are on e-Bay LOL.
I am laughing so hard Suzanne. My niece has the Amazing Alley with her tea set and hair clips. It also got put away due to lack of interest. When they unpacked her she too was full of new phrases. Quite Amazing.
I am laughing so hard Suzanne. My niece has the Amazing Alley with her tea set and hair clips. Did she keep it longer?  Maybe we need to see what happens when they turn 21!!!!!
LOL - "Sam Adams, please!"
LOL - "Sam Adams, please!"
"I'm thirsty" and after a few "I'm sleepy" would still work!
Just keep Alley out of online chat rooms and an eye on your phone bill if she continues to live with you.  Yikes I just saw that twilight zone episode of Talking Tina! Forget the Sam Adams, I would have gone straight to the Tequila....I'm not big on dolls anyway and I really would have freaked out.  Lindy.
My niece  Carmine is now 15. So Alley had been without speech for 10 years.
