I'm home today - one of the boys sprained his ankle yesterday at school, so he's home today using lots of ice and ibuprofen.  He thought he was going to play video games all day long... LOL!  Right now he's reading; then he gets to work on his assignments, which I gathered from his teacher this morning.  I'm so evil.   [QUOTE=JasmineRain]I'm home today - one of the boys sprained his ankle yesterday at school, so he's home today using lots of ice and ibuprofen.  He thought he was going to play video games all day long... When we sprained our ankles we still had to walk to school, uphill, both ways.

I'm resting today and reading.  Leave tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. for a 3 day trip to Guadalajara.  Three days without our husbands.....heavenly.  I'm always glad to see him when I get back from a short trip.  There's 45 women going, so this should be a shopping marathon.

Snow, uphill for 2 miles and through the snow!!!!

Shop till you drop!!!
OPPs not really...the punishment is too severe...better to practice a little moderation. sit when you can!
Thanks, Snow.  I had a moon garden once upon a time.....and loved it.  All white, shimmering in the moon light.  If I ever settle again I'll have another one.

Actually, I'm not going along just to shop.  I don't need or really want anything.  There's a pottery/ceramics museum I want to go to and also found out about handmade, leather shoes.  I'll walk around, take pictures and just mostly people watch.  I love to watch the artisans create.  Lindy

Saw a Globe Trekker episode on pbs on Mexico last night.  Really well done.  Thought of you down there.
Well for the second day in a row I took ten mins. of my lunch hour and exercised and ten minutes of it to relax. I lit candles, turned my light out, put in a CD with sounds of the sea on and tried to deep breathe. I have an awful time trying to relax!
I'm going to try and do this every day.
I was one of those mean mean mommies too. I still am.. I make my 6 year old go to bed at 715 and lights out at 730. She has to be on the bus at 7 am and she needs her sleep.

When our kids were little I thought I was the only mom in the world with  regular bedtimes for the kids.

Tink-

Nice site.

My cousin had a moon garden.
Well, I'm home today with the other boy.  He woke up at 2AM with a bellyache and then started throwing up.  The worst of it seems to be over now; he's resting peacefully.  The older one had the same thing happen this past weekend - luckily it seems to be a 24-hour bug. My son had that last week but he's 16. So he comes down stairs and gets a can of rug shampoo. I inquire. I just threw up he says. You didn't throw up in the bathroom? Yeah- well mostly. You didn't throw up in the toilet? Well mostly but some on my rug and the bathroom rug. Thanks goodness he cleans up after himself! [QUOTE=wanttobeRAfree]My son had that last week but he's 16. LOL - when the other kid got sick last weekend, he announced his illness by hurling in the kitchen, all over the floor and dishwasher.
