speaking of good eating habitsI read that article.....It was very interesting.Mabus, very interesting.  We are what we eat ... I hope the parents in here take a look at this link.  I'm sending that to my youngest daughter's boy friend.. he's a bacon junkieThanks for posting this...had been feeding kids hot dogs on occasion, but there's no real benefit and possible risk...I am curious if this latest study looked at ingredients of the various meats - not just the name.  Nitrites have long been used as preservatives in cured meats, and they have long been associated with various childhood cancers, including leukemia.  Does this study uncover perhaps another culprit in the deli? Okay, I  can't lie...I love bacon.  I don't eat it very often, but I think it's the perfect food...LOL
Me too!  I rarely have it, but OMG YUM!
Lets see....bacon wrapped scallops, bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwichs, bacon water chestnut rolls, swiss and bacon quiche, bacon and eggs.....the list is endless     jas
are you saying junk meat as opposed to kosher?

i did forget to mention a nurse friend of mine said they see more and more cases of luekemia in younger people and it is just heartbreaking....
