OT..Hypertyroidism and Beta Blockers | Arthritis Information

Anyone here use beta blockers to help their hyperthyroidism??

I use a beta blocker for HBP. So if your asking about beta Blockers in general I may be able to help. If your wanted to ask a question about it's effect on your thyroid, then I have no clue.

The underlying cause is thyroid cancer. My daughter is kept on a high dose because of it...beta blockers were mentioned as a possible solution to some of the problems the higher dose causes.

Just curious if anyone had the same problem..

She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer several years ago. Her thyroid was removed and she a radioactive ablation. She recently had a small relapse. She has some side effects from the thyroid med because they want her to trend toward hyperthyroidism. The beta blockers were suggested as a possible solution, so I was curious.
