Remicade infusion scheduled ! | Arthritis Information

I got the phone call this morning around 9:30 from the infusion center asking when I wanted to start Remicade.  I'm now scheduled to restart Remicade on the 10th of Feb.  It couldn't come sooner either as I'm now starting to really feel the effects of the high dose pred in all my muscles.  The legs and oddly my feet and ankles are the worst, followed by my back and my shoulders and arms.  Is this normal for long term high dose pred by the way?

I hope the Remicade works for me as this time around the dose is going to be doubled from what I took previously.  (300mg I think)

Wish me luck
Bob
You know I'm wishing you all the luck in the world and will be adding scores of prayers as well!  It's about time for you to have a positive break through in how you are feeling!I am so happy for you.  I hope this turns out to be the magic drug for you!Good luck Bob!!!  Hopefully it will work and get you off the pred. as well.  I'm humming for you!
Bob, I'm glad you'll finally get to start and I hope this is the one for you!Good luck!  I hope this is the one for you!Good luck Bob!Good Luck Bob.  I hope this gives you much needed relief.  Hiking_galThanks everyone...I hope it works too.  I do have some bad news though.  When I went to the RD earlier this week I complained about all the muscle weakness and shaking that I have so she ordered some labs to test for muscle problems.  It turns out the my serum level of aldolase and ALT was slightly elevated so now she wants me to see a neurologist for an EMG.  I go this coming thursday for that.   I don't think this is going to be any problem at all.  I had my CK checked today which is a good marker for muscle damage from disease or otherwise and it was on the low end of normal.  I think the other one can be elevated by certain drugs that will remain nameless....prednisone.

thanks
Bob
