nonules on hands around joints | Arthritis Information

Hello this is my first post.  I was wondering if anyone experiences nodules that come and go around the joints of their hands?  If you have can you tell me what your doc says about them?  Thanks, Momma

To our board  Momma...I am glad to meet you and I hope that you will enjoy your stay with us...

I wish I could help you with your question but as to date, I haven't had any nodules.  But I do know that there are some on the board that can answer your question...

My hands do have knots on each side of my finger joints but they never leave, just get larger when they start to feel hot, they often get very sore and make it hard for me to use my hands...I am sure the nodules do the same thing to you.  I am sorry I can't be of any help to you, right now but I am positive that someone will answer you back with the information you are looking for.... very soon.

Once again "Welcome" and I hope to see you on the boards often.

Blessed Be,

Toni

momma,

I have accupressure done on my hands and feet. Yes, I have nodules on my middle finger, right hand. A bump on the side where the nuckle is. I rub it myself and literally it goes down. I also soak my hands in hot ginger soak. It really helps relieve any pain my hands have. I swear by this!

HTH and welcome!I would very much like to know if anyone else has nodules that come and go.  I am writing about a condition my daughter has.  She is only 5.  It started at age 4.  I was told arthritis.  Then maybe tenosynovitis.  Her nodules can last a month or a week.  Any other input is appreciated.  I would like to know how common it is for them to come and go like this?  MommaI am simply bumping this up as I was hoping someone else may have experienced this.  Even if it is tenosynovitis that is causing the nodules, my understanding is that this can occur with RA.  Any other input appreciated.  Mamma

I get nodules that come and go. Mine look like cysts that grow until I accidently or sometimes intentionally pop them (because of pain)and then it will dry up but comes back again and I have 3 fingers that they alternate with.  Sometimes the pain is so unbareable.  My RA just tells me to go to a dermatologist and have them removed but why should I do that when they come right back.
