Lower sed rate, increased pain? | Arthritis Information

Ok, so why if my sed rate dropped from 24 to 17 after 3 months on MTX has the pain increased.  The exhaustion has drastically improved.  Any ideas?  SusanHmm, that's interesting.  I don't know that SED rate and pain really are connected though.Sed Rate only measures inflammation.  Incidentally, I've had a couple rheumatologists tell me that although they include this test in routine bloodwork for their patients, there seems to be some evidence that the Sed Rate doesn't always reflect the true state of the inflammation.

Isn't it frustrating that RA doesn't ever work by hard and fast rules?
