Craziest "cure" suggestion you’ve had | Arthritis Information

 

We all have them.  The "experts" who know the well-guarded secret to curing arthritis and are *gasp* willing to share with us poor mortals!  :)

My favorite:

"Oh dearie, just soak 9 raisens in vodka for three days and then eat them and you'll be cured in no time!"

What's your "cure" story?

My step mother told me to soak my feet in vinigar and water everyday.

My father-in-law, who doesn't speak English, wanted to sting me with bees when he found out I had arthritis.  I told him I'm allergic, and he told me it would cure the allergy!  :)If I had a buck for everything people tell me to try and that famous have you tried anything natural. They think that we have plain arthritis they do not understand how serious this can be no I am not going to eat bats eyes or frog balls or whatever so stupid these people..............TERESAHi,

I know my friend meant well but he insisted I go see his doctor friend who I believe is an accupuncturist. I have gone to one and still occasionally do. I find that the treatment does relieve the pain but it is not a cure for RA! My friend looked at me like I had 3 heads and didn't believe what I was telling him when I tried explaining what RA is. I find it very frustrating when I have to explain myself. I can't stand ignorant people! It is a relief to talk on this board with people who are going through the same thing....unfortunately....:(

Ya got it all wrong or your grandmother did . It has to be green rasins and you soak them in gin and its five not nine. DRAT! You mean it does not work? Pooey and HICK I was so looking forward to taking the cure.

I think the weirdest one is when somebody told me to take shots of apple cider vinigar.  I did man that stuff is nasty and didnt help a bit

My sister a nurse is still convinced that if i mix garlic and Honey and take a spoonfull every day i will never have another ache.

probably because i would be too busy vomiting.
