Kenaject is not related to the biologics, rather it is a medium- to strong-potency corticosteroid (depending on the dosage). It is the one of injectable forms of Triamcinolone Acetonide.

Much like oral corticosteroid the range of symptoms alleviated are numerous.

Edited to close tag.
aguaeon2009-02-08 14:18:13If it's a steroid, I would check out the side effects.are you taking kenaject ( a steroid) or kineret- a biologic medication for the RA?good question buckeye..havent seen spelling of the word, just went with what i heard the pharm say. I bet you think i'm the dumbest thing you ever heard of..let me look up keneret. All i know is that it's an  injection, starts with a K..hmmm think i like kenaject better than kineret. Will get back with everyone on this before i take it. suppose to pick it up tomorrow, not sure what to do now.Good luck to you ivypoe- whatever it is.....Let us know how you make out. GOod luck to you.

Have you called your RD for clarification? It is my considered opinion that it is important to KNOW beyond any doubt what medications we are prescribed, their expected physical, emotional, and mental effects, any side-effects, etc..

Many pharmaceutical provide patient information to prescribing information, although it is often filled with hyperbole at least those handouts provide a place to begin to research effects/side-effects.

Good luck.
