Flexiril question | Arthritis Information

Any one have any experience with flexiril. My DH believes I should call my Family Doc tomorrow and ask for some. I have trouble with muscle spasms in my feet and calves, and lower back. I have never tried them.

I Would appreciate your thoughts or experiences. Good or bad.

Love Flexeril it really helps. I am not sensitive to medication too much, so I don't get sleepy with it. I think for some people that happens though. Definitely give it a try. Awww......I love it too. I works so well for me. I take it twice a day at 10mg. I also don't get tired or have any side effects. I say give it a try. It works wonders for me.

How you doing girl? I thought you mentioned a muscle relaxer to me before, i looked up the post I made about the toe cramps, and you posted they worked for you. I think Iwill call tomorrow. They are so frequent. Then they leave me sore , crazy cycle. Hope you have been well.

Doing so=so......yep, it was me who mentioned the muscle relaxers before. Did I also say to eat a banana or two a day? That helps too. I used to get them in toes, legs, neck and hands. It hurt so much when the muscle seizes up. Those babies did the trick and I rarely have any more muscle cramps or spasms.

So get on it girl and give it a go!

muscle cramps - eat bananas, and drink lots of water....try a powerade.........if that fails, swallow a flexiril. They work, they do make me tired though. Good luck.I read somewhere about the Top 10 drugs prescribed for RA, and Flexeril was one of them. And calcium supplements, bananas, and water are a great combo too. I take flexiril and love it. I'm like the others, it doesn't make me to tired. Good luck, Hiking_galMy GP gave me 10 mg Flexeril for my back. They really make me feel groggy.
Rheumy gave me 10mg flexeril for sciatica. They made me drowsy. I've had it for years and never had a problem with it.

Thanks everyone. I am feeling in a lot of pain today. Might be over doing things. I did call DR. today. I have a script for flexiril muscle relaxer. I just took the first one about 20 min ago. So far okay. I am already tired so I do not know if it will be the Flexiril. I am going to try to only use them at night before bed , ( I get the worst cramps in evening and night ). That way if they do make me sleepy, it will be like a two-fer. No more cramps and a good night sleep!
