I cant tolerate a lot of meds and wondered if this is new
The only one I know that went through this procedure was Tina -- former owner of this site. Her story can be found here:

It didn't help her -- but it may help you.Pinnie - it sounds like its based under the idea of chelation, but taken further.  I haven't heard of it, but a great find.  My fav part (OF COUSE) is:

Researchers believe that rheumatoid arthritis is caused by an infectious agent affecting the body's immune system, but they do not know why people are stricken with the disease.

LOL - I would look into it, it sounds promising.  Let us know.  Cathy
I know 3 people who did the prosoba column and none of them got any better..in fact one ended up with a life threatening infection.  I asked my Rd to do this a few years ago and he said it has not been done in Australia, so he would not try it.  Janie. Thank you so much for the feedback, I am starting to feel like I am running out of options so I will ask about this and will take into consideration the infections Buckeye...There are many meds that can cause bad side effects and after the bad effects I suffered with Enbrel nothing scares me as muchProsorba columns were discontinued by the manufacture in 2006.

Mrs. Pincushion, I can't say anything about prosorba, I have read a little about it, but I am sorry you are in such misery.  I know when you hurt like we do, you will do just about anything for relief.  Have they been able to isolate what exactly you are allergic to in the meds?   No Waddie, I seem to have a low tolerance to a lot of meds. I am also allergic to Hair dyes and red cabbage...lol..strange as a child I had no allergies at all and I have used Hair dyes since my 20'sI have heard of people who are allergic to hair dyes, it can be very nasty.  I know I react to the preservatives in food and the preservative in the premixed enbrel literally made me scream as it was injected.  The Humira pen burns too, but so far I can tolerate it.  I am pretty sure the horrible painful lumps I breakout with have been due to the MTX.  I am going on 2 weeks now without incident (the same amount of time I have been off MTX).  IDK what in the MTX causes the reaction.

I can't imagine what you must be going through and not being able to do anything, really, for relief.  Hopefully, you will find an answer.  I will do my best to help you look and will hum for you too!
