Are women really the weaker gender?

Women do have more health problems than men.

Women seem to have more AI diseases than men.

Women are at more risk for health prolems than men.

So... are we really the weaker gender?
No as we give birth.....theres nothing weak about that We live longer.  Males of all ages are more likely to die than their female counterparts.  This is true from before birth all the way to old age. Hmmm...I have always thought that women are stronger. We can conquer anything that is thrown at us. [QUOTE=joonie] I think men will complain more about pain. Women are taught otherwise and tend to play the martyr card more often. This concerns me more:

But I was thinking about this last week. Because that is when I was sick with the cold and my hubby got my cold and was only sick for 3 days, whereas I was sick for over a week and I still have some coughing going on. But he was also more of a baby about it, and I was not. He actually missed a day of work because of his cold. I guess I did miss a week of work with mine, if you consider not going anywhere my "work".

i think we may get sick more but we have babies and that takes alot out of our bodies.  i also think women in general are more likely to go to the doctor when somthing is wrong. (not necessary me

That said, women are the child bearers with a delicate balance of hormonal schedules to begin with -- RA and AI diseases seem to have hormonal factors.  I know personally my cycle brings on horrific flares and you can information about that on the internet. Stress affects hormone levels as well.

Many men in many societies are catered to by women in many ways.  Yet women also work 8-hour jobs, raise children, ignore their own health, worrying about looking old, getting old, if she is thin enough, and in the meantime, she gets very little rest because she is the caregiver for her family and the rest of society -- nursing, teaching, nannies, etc., leaving her body with no or very little restorative sleep, no repair time for the body.  I think she is just overworked and stressed beyond her body's capacity and her health suffers tremendously and sometimes fatally.

I think if society catered to the woman in the way they do to a man, she would have less health issues.

Of course this is generally speaking, there will always be exceptions and individual cases that this observation does not apply to.
