I've tried doing some searching on the web and am fairly new to this so ..

My mortgage renewal's up in September and i've been trying to get info on whether this affects capability of getting a new deal .. anyone any ideas ?

Do you have to declare ra ?
Does having ra diminish your options of mortage renewals ?

Any thoughts gratefully received

Thanks
You're in the UK.  Are there any government agencies to help?no clue about UK and mortgages......  or whether it is used against you when applying/???

anyone???

Thanks for response

As far as I'm aware no ..

Seeing a mortage adviser next week but don't want to offer up information if it's going to harm my case !

Cheers
Is there an Arthritis Foundation in the UK that could be of assistance?dont' tell him about your RA!  that's info on a need to know basis.. they do not need to know!@!!Don't offer any information unless they specifically ask for it.  I don't know what a mortgage renewal is.  In the states, once you have a mortgage, it is yours until you pay it off.
Don't offer any information unless they specifically ask for it.  I don't know what a mortgage renewal is.  In the states, once you have a mortgage, it is yours until you pay it off.
I am not sure about the UK but here in New Zealand we can elect to have a mortgage for a certain amount of years then can elect to renew with the same lender or go and get a new mortgage at better rates somewhere else. Likewise, we can take a mortgage at a fixed rate for a certain time or opt to go on a floating rate which will go up or down according to the markets. Both of these options are renewable after the time you have chosen, usually 3 to 5 years.

I have never had to provide health information for any mortgage and would be amazed that any one had to! Lenders obviously want to see your earning capabilities and credit history but hopefully not a health record. Thats a scary thought!

Good luck Thanks for all your advice and help

Much appreciated !
Hi there. I am in the uk too, I never declared my RA with our mortgage but if you are really worried get hold of your local Citizen Advice Bereau and speak to an advisor , they are excellent at what you have to tell and what you dont...good luck
