babs102009-02-11 13:10:59But Dogmom, Babs... HOORAY  I wish I knew.....................I had a swollen knuckle as a child and when i was 11 I had swollen fingers that never went down much through my teenage years. The doctors told my mum that it was an allergy??? was never tested for allergies. I suffered severe fatigue as a child and was labelled lazy at school although I excelled at hockey and athletics?? Then I suffered with my feet in my 20's..everything dissapeared when i had my first child but came back with my 3rd and then I was officially diagnosed 13 years ago. My Rheumatologist is sure I had it as a child. I am seronegative with erosions in my feet and knees, elbows and hands..My RA can not be treated with meds and Im getting progressivley worse. I was in a wheelchair a while back and it feels like Im heading that way again...I am off to see ym rheumy for some hope.Mrs. Pinny, how was you evening out to see your son's play? The play was wonderful thanks , I got a bit tearful...lol as all mums do when its their offspring.. 2 hours in the theatre was tough going with the RA but I wouldnt have missed it for the world. At the end of the show my son recieved the directors praise...so we were really proud parents...my sons director was in Atonement with Keira knightly  so praise form him was wonderful for my son. Forty years for me.  Diagnosed after birth of second daughter at age 25.  Have major damage in hands and feet, but still do low impact exercises and try to go dancing about twice a month.wow.. what a group!  I'm pushing for longevity... not of RA.. but of life....

What a group of fighters here!!

wow.
? for those with damage. Did the damage show up in your feet first before your hands? How long did it take you to show damage? I have to admit i remember my feet hurting badly when i was 11 years old. They look and feel like crap now. Narrowing of the joint space ect.
I would really hate to get an MRI of my rear end. LOL It throbs all of the time has been for years. Bet i have bone erosion going on in there.
