I have RA... heheheheheee!

No, I mean... I know why I am aching, swelled, hurting and just feeling blah today.

I went to sleep at a decent time last night... like 11pm. Then I woke up around 2am to take my meds, which is the normal time I take them. Then I woke back up at 6am and went back to sleep around 7:15am. Then I woke back up at 11:45am when son woke up.

The first couple of times I woke up, I felt ok. Nothing hurting or even aching. Then... when I woke up at the 11:45am time... I hurt bad. My knees were warm, would not straigthen out all the way and my neck, back shoulder area was painful.

So... I laid in bed all day.

I decided to try the Ultram ER samples my RD gave me and well... that crap does not work well. My knees and hips are killing me! My neck is better though. I can move my arms without my shoulders hurting.

Anyways... I know why I hurt.

It is to rain tomorrow. I do not keep up with the weather. I only look it up when I feel like this or do not feel well.

sorry, joonie......  hope today is a better day.  ;)Thanks Babs! I am doing ok for now... I took my pred like 5 hours ago, so ... everything has settled down a bit. But my right knee is still swelled and leg will not straighten all the way out.

Good news though... I have a crock pot full of red potatoes that have been stewing in pot roast jucies since 10pm last night! WOOHOOO!!!

Bad news.... I already ate half of them... and well... now I have to decide if I want to cut more potatoes up and possibly cut a finger or 2, or do I want to just eat the all up before dinner and claim there were no potatoes in the pot roast?

I might give it a go... and try to cut the potatoes up. Even though... I have been banned from knives. Hubby cut up the others... I do not think he cut up enough IMHO! I love potatos that have been cooked in the juice of a roast....yum.
Sorry you feel yukk Joonie...I can def. sympathise with you today.. I got up out of bed though , showered and got myself downstairs...Now to tackle the housework.....this should be fun...
STAAY AWAAY FROM THE KNIVES!!!Hope you are feeling better today Joonie!

This is not the first time you have eaten everyone's share of the potatoes LOL!  Maybe if you put the potatoes in whole now- by the time dinner comes around they will be soft enough to cut with a fork!
i threw up this morning from the preasures outside.  cannot stand this weather.   i have not been dressed since sunday.  yesterday they called me in a medrol pack......   i have steriods....?   i hate to start it all but if this front does not pass soon i will have to.     i was on a whole bunch of steriods in december.  this just sucks!   what is a person to do?WW...Sorry you are feeling so bad, the weather pressure can make you feel so much worse but take your steroids if they help you, any relief is better than nothing.
I hope you feel better soon xx
Joonie, I was told by my Rd that weather could affect RA.  It has to do with the pressure change with in the joint - the synovial fluid acts like a barometer, so high pressure or low pressure fronts can cause problems.  Idk... I have no science on it but it makes sense to me Joonie!!!  I just had a great idea for cutting up potatoes!!!  I just tried this and it works (guess we are roasting potatoes for dinner).  I took an apple core/slicer, you know... round thing that slices and cores the apples when you push down on it?  It works great on red potatoes and small russetts!  You have this odd potato core but its edible (it could be the prize in the pot roast!).  No more waiting for hubbly, no more bandaids on the fingers from knives!!!
Hummm... will have to look into that waddie. My hubby will not buy me a potatoe peeler. Because I used one at the in-laws and peeled my finger. My hands are useless for things like that. Hubby says I am a klutz, but... it is because my hands do not work well. He does not get that because his hands work like they are suppose to.

Yep, it rained and there are still more gray clouds coming thru. It is weird weather outside. It is more close to tornado kinda weather. Which explains why my knee & hips are feeling worse.

I hope you feel better soon, wondewoman. Please take the steroids, it is only for a short time and they will help you to feel better. Much hugs to you my friend.
