Hey Bob, How did it go with the infusion?  I am still hoping this is the magic for you! bob.. what a lucky man!  all these people hoping for the best from your infusion!!!  It's gotta work!!!There is power in numbers!

The headache is pretty much gone today.  I still feel the same as far as the RA goes.  It's going to take some time before I'll know if it's going to work.  I didn't think there would be anything worth noting after only one infusion so we'll see what the next one is like.

Maybe nothing worth noting but I am glad to hear your infusion went well!  When is you next one?   best wishes on the remicade!!!  is your next one in 2 weeks?   how many vials are they giving you?My next infusion is on February 24th @ noon which is the same time it was yesterday.  It shouldn't take 3 1/2 hours this time though.  I wasn't told by my doc to take two tylenol one hour prior to my infusion so I had to wait yesterday.  Now I know so it will go better next time around.

Not sure how many vials but the dose is 550mg so I'm guessing maybe 5 and a half vials if they are 100mg each.

Bob
glad the headaches went away. hope the next infusion is note worthy. Here's the latest on the remicade.  The bad news is that not only do I not feel relief the RA seems to be worse since the infusion.  I know the weakness in the feet, legs, back, shoulders and arms is worse.  I've seen a neurologist about it and he says that the muscles aren't diseased and the nerves are conducting properly so I don't know what else this could be.  It's what is weighing on my mind the most as I never recall feeling like this with RA before.  I can handle the stiffness and pain from the RA, I have for 23 years.  But this weakness thing is really scaring the crap out of me.

Maybe the next infusion will be the one to really kick in?
Well, back home now to my nice cold house, I've been without electric for days now and the power co says maybe sunday night.

Bob
Bob, really sorry to hear that, it would scare the crap outta me too!  I hope it all comes together for you soon!  I also hope your lights and heat are back up and running quickly.  My son is also without power and has been for 2 days now.  Idk how you all stay warm!!!

Good wishes, Bob, sending you energy!
Bob,

You ever been "tested" for Fibro? Kinda sounds like Fibro.
I think it takes a while for all infusions to kick in.  I asked the nurses today and they told me to expect to wait 4-6 infusions with the Orencia to see a difference.  With that said, it doesn't mean it will take that long, and doesn't mean it will show up by then.

Don't give up hope.  Another thing my doctor said; regardless if it was Remicade or Orencia, he told me to brace myself, I'll feel worse before I feel better.

Good luck!  Don't give up!!!!!!!!!!!
Echo- don't give up hope. Don't give in!
Sorry it's not working as quickly as we all wished it would.

Do you have bad weather that caused the power outage?
