So... My hubby is sick with his lungs again.

My daughter has walking phnemonia.

And my son has a skin infection where he stepped on a nail and a sinus infection.

And I just hurt all over.

oh wow Joonie...what is wrong with his lungs? ..has your son had a tetnus injection?
Poor daughter too...and you...aw big hugs for all of you
Joonie, that's awful!  I'm glad your children were dx'd - both those things can get bad fast.  Do you know what your hubby has?  Could it be pneumonia, too?

Can you get everybody (you too) to bed early tonight?  I hope tomorrow is better.
Joonie,

I'm so sorry.  That's terrible that you all got hit at the same time.   I hope you all feel better soon.
Wow, you guys don't mess around, when you get sick, you do it in a big way!

I hope all of you recover quickly - be good to yourself and don't try to be super mom!
Time to break out the convenience foods and paper plates for a week!  When we were all sick at my house a couple weeks back, we lived on frozen dinners, canned soup and other convenience foods, and everything except soup was served on paper plates.  We ran the dishwasher when all the silverware and cups were dirty - the dishwasher was still only half full because we hadn't used any cooking utensils or plates!

Hope you're all feeling better soon!

Joonie,
We both have our Rheumy appointments tomorrow. I hope you will be able to make you appointment.
Too much winter- WE NEED SPRING!

Hope you all feel better. Good luck at your appointment tomorrow.
Well... my daughter says she feels pretty good, except for her hacking cough she has.

My son he is almost like he always is. He stepped on a wood staple aka brad that was sticking out of a chair that he and his cousin broke Saturday night. And then Sunday night MIL was checking on his wound to make sure he did not have tetanus and well... he had a red line running up his foot. So... we had to make a trip to the ER Sunday night at 9pm. After 5 people looking at his foot, 3 x-rays, a dose of antibiotics and an hour later we were back home. Told it was skin infection.

We had to take him to his ped this morning to see if it was responding to antibiotics. and the Dr was upset that the ER did not give him a tetanus shot even though I said I thought he was up to date on his vaccinations. Which he was not, he missed 15 month vacs and that is where the tetanus was to be given. SO... son got 3 shots this morning. And told he did have tetanus and a possible skin infection and a sinus infection.

My husband... well same lung problems as he had last time he got sick. He never went back to the pulmonary Dr to find out what it is he has exactly. And hubby was to be taking his inhalers all this time, and he had not. He lied to me and told me he was to just take them until they were gone. Well... he lied; he was to be taking them all this time!

I was going to call today and make an appt for hubby with his lung Dr for later this week, but MIL informed me that hubby's lung dr left and closed up shop and was not coming back. He is the ONLY lung Dr in town! SO... now... I have to send hubby back to GP later this week.

I think I done something really really wrong to my left knee. I was in the shower and I went to raise my left leg up to the seat to wash my foot. and when my knee bent it popped and felt like something ripped and now my knee is really painful when trying to walk and bend. It is only in one spot that hurts. It is swelled a little and hurts when I apply pressure.

I hope I did not tear something. But ya'll know how my luck goes!

So... we went to go pick up everyones meds today. Hubby's inhalers which we ordered Saturday which we were told would be ready Monday, and were not.

Pick up the kids meds their ped sent to the pharmacy over the internet while we were in the room with him.

We get there they had only one of hubbies inhalers, daughters RX and none of my sons ready. Well... we get out to the car and I opened daughter RX bag and it was a bottle of cough medicine. Daughter to was to get a Z-Pak ONLY. Son was to get cough medicine and liquid antibiotics. The med in daughters RX bag was my sons, but with daughter name on it.

I called them while we were in the parking lot to tell them they got daughter's RX wrong and they said it was not wrong. I said yes it is. and told them that she was to get a z-pac and son was to get cough syrup & liquid antibiotics. then I got put on hold and then a few mins later they said they were going to have to confirm daughters z-pac with her ped.

So... I call back an hour later and they said they had RX for both my daughter and son. We went to pick them up, and well... the pharmacy closed at 8pm. It use to be 9pm. We were 5 mins late getting there. They were still in the pharmacy but had everything closed up.

So... now we have to get their meds tomorrow. They had their RX since before noon today and we went to pick their meds up a little before 6pm.

Hubby was pissed. I was like... oh well.

Hubby said if they do not have his advair tomorrow, he is going to talk to the manager and cuss some people out. Advair was the one he was to have gotten Sunday & then Monday and now suppose to get it Tuesday. And is the one he needs most for his lungs.

joonie2009-02-16 20:02:50Oh and my new argument for hubby to see Drs for his lung problem is that if he loves himself as much as he claims he does... then he would go get seen about. Hubby has made it well known that he would never commit suicide, because he loves himself too much. I told him that not going to see Drs to get his lung problem fixed is like a slow suicide and I thought he loved himself too much.

It kinda worked, he had no come back for it. Hahaha! Just have to know how to play him.

I am off to lay down. My shoulders and neck are killing me and I took my meds like 2 hours ago! UGH!

Heating pad here I come!HOW FRUSTRATING! I got tense just reading about it. Are you sure you are not stressed out? Nope, not stressed out about it all, but hubby is LOL!

I know how that pharmacy is... so I never get my hopes up with them having RXs ready when we get there. They suck. And well... I do not mind them not having my meds ready when I get there... so that is why I still use them. I am mostly the only person in the family that gets meds. The rest is only 3-5 times a year. Mine is every month.

So... hubby said he is going to change him & the kids over to another pharmacy. I told him I wanted mine to stay at that pharmacy. I know it is just asking for trouble, but they know me and I do not even have to tell them my name when picking up. And they always make sure my meds are ran thru insurances right. So... why break in someone new? LOL!
Not only the pharmacy but just the stress of having everyone ill , (along with yourself) and what goes along with it too. Poor little guy walking around with tetnus and them telling you it's a skin infection...You probably take things in stride but your body is getting all knotted up in response! Super Joonie to the rescue! Hugs to you Joonie...hope you all get better super fast. xxOh my Joonie...you are really going through a lot right now...just try and tackle one thing at a time...like other's said , don't try to be wonderwoman. Just think, 10 years from now looking back at this (and everyone is healthy) you'll laugh...right?!!! Deep breaths.... Keep us posted.well... daughter got sent home again today. She barffed all over her desk. School called at 8:37am to tell me she barffed again. She barffed last friday too and was sent home early. But the ped said he did not think the vomiting was related to an illness. So... probably just hormones. She said she does not feel sick and went to her friends house and played all day.

The pharmacy still did not get the RXs right. Daughter was to have a Z-Pak, instead they gave her the liquid form. And they did not give son his cough medicine. I guess because they gave it to us with daughters name on it yesterday. Stupid crap.

I am still hurting but not as bad as the days before. It is raining here and getting colder. Still flaring.

Hope ya'll are doing well.
When I was in first grade, I could not stand my teacher.  She was a horrible old witch.  I used to purposely throw up all over my desk just to mess with her.  Her major problem was that she took issue with the fact that my math and reading skills were at 4th to 5th grade level and she didn't know what to do with me, as the rest of the class was still learning how to form small words and write letters and numbers correctly. Hahahaa!! That is funny!

My daughter has been doing it because of either puberty or because she is coughing to much and hard and activating her gag reflex.

They send home kids that barf LOL! Even if they are not sick.

I am letting her stay home tomorrow. I mean they rather me keep her home if she is barffing, but when she is home she does not barf.
