Update and A Giggle for Mums | Arthritis Information

Hi Guys, haven't posted for ages, but have been popping in from time to time to see how you are all going. Some of you have been having it pretty rough, and although I haven't been posting, you have all been in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks to those of you who helped me to get in contact with grammaskittles. I was able to make contact and get the photo to her that she wanted.

I'm still doing pretty well health-wise, knocked another 1 mg off the Prednisone, and now back down to 7mg. I have to stay there for another month, then do the next half mg reduction cycle to get me down to 6mg. It's a long process, as you all know, but I'm getting there!! The 6 mg mark is a bit scarey, last time I went from 6-1/2 to 6mg, didn't go at all well, it really knocked the stuffing out of me, had to give up work, and took about 18 months to get back under control, but of course that meant weaning off the higher dosage I had needed to take to kick the flare into touch! But, since then all has been great, and so I'm fit and ready for this round!!

I'm working in Real Estate now, work my own hours - plenty of exercise and fresh air, managed about 4 small sales so I'm pretty pleased with myself. Recession of course, means that things are pretty slow market wise here, as with everywhere else at present, but it's great to be actually earning again, and getting out and about!
