Hi Guys, well I made it, same deal, 40 hours for 500ml but I think it was worth it, I may be jumping the gun but I do feel different!  I know I have had 2 massive doses in the last 2 days of prednisolone so that will be masking a few things but I do feel something, please God I am right.  Just wanted to thank all my lovely friends on here for your unending support and encouragement as no-one understands like my AI friends and I take your advice over anyone (who just doesn't get it) through no fault of their own!

My swelling has lessened and I have only had half of the ususal dose of Tramal, so fingers crossed.  I have to have an appt with RD in 3 months to see if any changes to make sure it has helped otherwise the govt will not subsidise it anymore.  (,000) a pop.  Wow, how lucky are we that we can do that.  I feel so much for all of you who have to worry if your insurance will cover it, how awful?  We do have to meet certain criteria here and three strikes and your out applies so if this doesn't work the Govt won't subsidise any other RA drugs for 5 years for me, as I have tried two other biologics under the Govt scheme.

My son Liam could not see his paed RD on Weds due to tummy probs and Gary my hubby had it too, so I had to change appt to next Weds which means another long trip into Brisbane but we will have fun, Liam and I are going to catch the train, catch a movie, do lunch, how posh?  Then we shall stay in a hotel and spoil ourselves until the next morning at the Drs, we are going to pretend we are on holiday and I am going to order us room service , I feel so bad for the poor kid, he has been through hell and his epileptic fits are still happening too, so please continued prayers would be wonderful.

Love to you all, my good friends, God Bless all of those that are suffering in any way, but especially all the tragedies in the world, here and overseas, the plane crash in New York City, I pray that no one on here was affected, the bush fires here in Victoria, the flooding in Queensland, etc etc, there are too many world tragedies to mention them all but we must count our blessings too.  Janie.

Oh Janie I echo your sentiments...Please God let this treatment be the one that works! I'm so glad you are feeling better! I wish you all the best in having it continue!

That's a great idea of spending an enjoyable day with Liam along with his RD visit! Prayers will definitely be continued for you both! Enjoy yourself!

Oh Janie,

That is great news.  I will keep wishing for you to get the relief from the Rituxin that you deserve.  I think it's great that you are planning to treat Liam seeing all he has been through.  The trip to Brisbane, room service, movie...wow.  It will make his trip to the dr a positive, fun thing and he will cherish the memories he has with his mum as he gets older!  Enjoy it, Hiking_gal
Thankyou so much WTRA free, I appreciate and feel your care and concern, hugs Janie. Janie, how wonderful your treatment seems to be working and you are feeling some relief!  I sending wishes for a lovely trip for you and Liam and a positive visit with the Rd that he may get relief too! Janie,

Seems to me that my first set of infusions took 3 months or more to actually completely start working. I think that it was at about three months that my rheumies decided to start me on sulfasalizine and plaquinol. Since it seemed to me that the rituxin was working in spurts, like a motor wants to start, just won't stay running, I decided to not start the plaq and sulfa and within a month the rituxin was working like a dream come true. Unfortunately, the rituxin only lasted for about 3-4 months thereafter but, the second round of infusions were absolutely amazing. Cold turkey 25mgs of mtx and down to 3-4mgs of prednisone from 15-20mgs. Hopefully the rituxin will work with-in your three month timeframe.

Janie,
I have my fingers, toes and "wings" all crossed for you. I just know this will be the one...
Cheers to better days ahead for you!
