Woke up around 3 a.m..... | Arthritis Information

with a swollen mouth -- left cheek, top and bottom lip, hair falling out.  Ooh sexy!

but anyway couldn't get back to sleep so will probably sleep during the day. I stayed in bed 2 hours waiting to fall back to sleep.

The constant mucus draining has my stomach sick so drinking some lemonade for that.  Just want to see if there are any other night owls awakened from sleep.

I will tell the doctor about it on next visit. My guess it is all related to autoimmune disease or at least that is what I will hear.

I think I am gonna try getting back to sleep.  good night!

Shelly,

You are not alone. I am wide awake and have been for several hours. I think I will try to go back to sleep.
night! or should I say Goodmorning!

Hey Tink,

I had a much better nap the second time around.  The swelling is much better.  I didn't see you online or I would have sent you a PM or something. but don't you hate it when it keeps you up at night.  I wanted to get in the car and just drive but I knew it was too late for that.

Hope you get some sleep today and feel better soon. take care.

I haven't been sleeping well either... I was up till 4am. Its been so windy and rainy here, and I ache ache ache. And every time I roll over or try and shift myself around, my husband wakes up and says "what's wrong?". EVERY time! I feel sorry for the poor guy because I keep waking him up, but sheesh... What's wrong is the same thing that was wrong the last 90 times you asked!
I guess I should get out of bed and go somewhere else, but I keep thinking that I'll eventually fall asleep if I just lay still. I hate not being able to sleep because it almost guarantees a bad day..
Hope you ladies are feeling betterGuys,
something is going on, we are all flaring. Is there a full moon, what is happening.  It is like we have all become interconnected.
thanks everybody. take it easy.
I'm gonna get that Varmit!.....Dang Groundhog....never trust anything that "lives" in the ground I say!

Shelly, I wasn't online until I posted. I was laying in bed like leila trying to force sleep.

So frustrating...there is always tonight.....sigh

Leila,

LOL!  I know.  Men want to "fix it," fix the problem when there is no fix and some women too.  I tried for 2 hours to get back to sleep but couldn't, so finally just got online which isn't the best thing to do in the middle of the night.

I am going to invest in a really nice comfy chair for the future sleepless nights where I can get up sit there and sleep in the chair if I have to.

I agree lack of sleep affects your day.  Well hope you can sleep tonight. If not check online to see if I am up.  take it easy.
Shelly632009-02-23 20:11:36SnowOwl and Tink,
LOL! Yes very bad groundhog indeed!
Shelly I had a period of insomnia when I was on a high dose of prednisone. I used to get up and turn just one light on and read. In about an hours time I would be sleepy enough to try and go back to bed. I found if I stayed in bed trying I would lay awake much longer just getting frustrated.

WanttobeRAfree,

Yeah that's a good idea.  I didn't even think about reading.  I was just so frustrated and swollen and disgusted, it just didn't even cross my mind but will take out my book next time and give that a try. Maybe with a nice cup of hot tea.

Thanks.
Thanks for the advice everyone! Well, I'm getting ready to try this sleep thing again. I'm not too hopeful because me knees are killing me....
I don't think my husband will be waking up too much tonight. He seems to have caught the dreaded man-cold, so he has himself medicated with nyquil. (lucky bum. I wish nyquil still put me to sleep) Anyway, good luck to all of us. I'm sorry that you ladies are having such trouble sleeping, but I'm glad I'm not alone.
Hey I was up until 2am. I read the Sunday paper and it finally made me sleepy. I hope everyone has a peaceful, sleep-time tonight.
