I started Lyrica on Friday.

Yesterday I had what is the best day, pain wise I have had in THREE years.

I was on the floor with Jakie and suddenly realized I was sitting with my legs turned back, but I had also sat Indian style, AND I was able to stand up from the floor without needing a chair or something to pull myself up with.

NOTHING is swollen. I had a ton of energy, and was doing stuff all day long. I baked a cake and made a cheese cake and 2 Quiches as well as a nice dinner.

All my laundry is caught up. I was able to play actively with the kids..

My knees did hurt on the stairs, but not as bad.. and my heels still hurt pretty bad but I can not believe this.

Is it at all possible the Lyrica has taken effect this fast? I DO react to meds quickly, but WOW.

Yes, Kathy, I had immediate reaction to the Lyrica when I started it. Not quite as dramatic as your reaction but still good.

I am glad for you. Just remember to not overdo it, take it in baby steps to ensure that you don't slip backwards.

Are you taking it for fibro?

My RD is thinking I have Fibro as well as RA. Heck I never even considered it, but if the shoe fits.. Lyrica doesn't bring down swelling and inflammation, though perhaps since you're able to move around more that helped decrease swelling and edema.

Lyrica made a tremendous difference in how well I could walk, golf, and general pain and restless leg syndrome. For me it was a wonder drug, along with Humira. Lindy
