I love the Arthritis insight web site so much and was excited to find a place to post messages. I feel that I have been having a few problems lately and was wondering if any body else might have similar symptoms. First of all, for the past 6 months or so, I feel as though I am loosing my mind. I am forgeting things that happened 20 minutes ago, when I used to be able to remember small details about everything. I also feel like I am loosing my emotions.... I don't know whether I am happy or sad. Ah! It is so hard to describe but so frustrating! Does anyone know what I am talking about? I am currently taking Mobicox,Humira and Methotrexate for my RA. I read that "Brain Fog" is a side effect of Metho, but I don't even know if this is brain fog, or me loosing my mind.
I experienced the same exact thing and for months didn't know what the cause was. After the process of elimination and many trips to different doctors I decided the culprit was the methotrexate. I have been on MTX for 5 years using 27.5mg/wk and when I started Remicade the doc said I could reduce my dose of mtx. I shouldn't have listened to him when he said to just talk 1/2 the dose. I should have know my body would freak out and it did but I didn't know until months later that was the cause. I went back up to my original dose and months later I'm almost back to normal (as normal as I could be I guess!
Just so you know I felt like I was going crazy and don't anymore so at least there's hope.
