I miss Gimpy too and we are not seeing Pip and Joie as much either.
I've been wondering about Gimpy as well. I've missed her posts.

She is posting on another board ..I will tell her everyone is asking about herGAGG and some other member had a fight going on and Gimp's real name got posted so GAGG flew the coop. I for one do not miss her...Each to their own but over the years I have been on here she has helped me a lot of the times when my RA has been bad and i needed support..
Gimpy-a-gogo and the others of his group were following another member and posting her personal information (without her permission) name address and phone number on the world wide web. This member found some of Gimpy-a-gogo's personal information and posted it along with a not so flattering picture of him. Gimpy-a-gogo was outraged and made a deal with the other member that he would remove her personal information and she would delete his personal information. Gimpy-a-gogo removed her personal information from the world wide web and she deleted Gimpy-a-gogo's information and picture from the world wide web. Once again I want to say that it's so not right for members to posts other members personal information without permission for the sole purpose of harassment. Let this be a warning to all members to not give up personal information because if this group ever gets mad at you, theuy will post your personal information and make your life a living hell causing harm to you, your husband and children, despicable. This group even pretended to like one member, IO in order to get more of her personal information thru PMs in order to get enough information to hunt her home address and phone number. Gimpy got what he deserved. He along with his group of nasties thought it to be great sport posting the personal information of the members they disliked or disagreed with. Be warned, be warned. If you think that this group likes you and won't turn on you, look for IO.

I was wondering why she hadn't posted in a while. I hope all is well.I do miss her. She and I agreed on almost nothing, but she was fun. It would be boring if everyone agreed with every single opinion I hold (even if that may really be a good idea for you to consider.... J/K).

I think its sad to lose members because of petty infighting and trolls. I miss her opinion, even though we did not always agree either. I agree with Jas, how dull a life would be if everyone were the same!

I have a question. I briefly posted my picture ( to make Gimmpy feel better) but then I got scared and took it down. My question...is my picture still out there?...I mean I hear once you put it on the web it is always on the web. Is that true? Even AFTER I took it down?
Oh and I thought Gimmpy looked like a woman. And she looked just fine. And who is a IO that we should look for? and how DID everyone find each others personal information?
I for one didn't put my REAL (full) name on the registration when I signed up. How could they find that out? Why would you want to?....
I didn't know Gimmpy, but I would of liked to get to know her.

I've also noticed some of the regulars have been disappearing lately. There is a better board than this one to hang out on? Where might that be I'm always looking for new people to meet with RA? I use my real name I'm not that worried about who knows what my name is and what I look like. Now if they know stuff like my social sec # and things I'll worry then!

I always thought Gimp was a female too. I didn't see the picture, but for some reason always thought she was a female. Doesn't matter either way, I was just surprised to see Lev's reference of her.
Tink, I am no expert but people could have copied your picture and kept it. I am not sure that other than that anyone would be able to find it.
I am not sure how anyone gets run out of anywhere. I guess I am just thick skinned. Takes a lot to upset me.... I am sorry if that's why Gimpy is not around lately. I don't think I ever agreed with her, but that's what makes life interesting. Hope all is well with HER...
As for personal information, that was just not cool. Though I am not sure what is the big deal. I don't post my personal info more because there is no need than out of fear that someone will know who/where I am. However, if someone doesn't want their info shared, than it's an inexcusable breach of privacy to do so.
Bob, have you tried the Arthritis Foundation Board? People there are much more supportive and no one goes for the nastiness you've seen here so much... I frequent that often, the people are fantastic.... Not that most of you aren't. Heh...
