Ok so I'm minding my business at work and my cell phone is ringing. I look at it and it's not identifying the caller so I don't answer.

When the missed call comes over it was THE SCHOOL
I call right away but they don't know who called- anyone who calls out shows up as the main number.
I called home but no one called or left a message there.
My mind always goes to the worst scenario and I am picturing my son in the principals office and that the principal was calling to say so......
Is there a good reason the school could have been calling me????????
call back and ask for Guidance office.
They should know if he's had an issue.. and if he's in the nurses' office.. ask them to check.
good luck.. calm down.. dont' picture the worst case scenario .. he's fine...

Hugs
If they really wanted to talk to you, they would call back..

Don't worry about it.
I am sure it's nothing.  We have phones  in all our rooms.  I often have kids ask to call home to ask for lunch money, stay for a dance, and so on....  I'm sure it's all good in the hood. [QUOTE=wanttobeRAfree]Sorry...I just woke up in my chair. I fell asleep after work today-probably MTX fatigue.

I did calm down at work and remembered that the guidance counselor had told me she would call him in this week and let him know she was here for him if he needed her. Son confirmed that she called him in today and it was probably her that called because all was well.
He also seemed to feel good about the visit with her....
I'm awfully jumpy lately. I need to settle down.
Thanks all for quieting my fears earlier and following up!

I've panicked before when I see the kids' school pop up on caller ID.  9 times out of 10 it's the principal calling to see if I can come by and fix one of the computers.  But occasionally one of the boys has violated the fever and/or vomiting policy and needs to be picked up.JR- of course that was my second panic mode yesterday-sickness. I was afraid that he had a fainting episode again like he did at work over the summer when they took him to the ER in an ambulance!
I'm really getting to be too much like my own mother.....a true fatalist.Hey wanttobe-I'm back!  I read the original thread about the school meeting.  They should have handled that better.  I have to tell you that my kids have never been in trouble.  The walking on the grass detention is the only incident ever, yet when a school number comes up I always think sick or in trouble!.  I have some questions regarding that so I may start a thread later.

Glad to see things are calming down-MTX helping yet? La
I thought that's where you might be! Shoulder holding up through it all?

MTX was not helping so doctor upped my pred to 6 then 10. That worked for 2 days. Well I shouldn't say that...I don't have pain like during the flare but it's more then I think I should have being on what I am.
I have an appt. tomorrow so we shall see what transpires.
Hope your cold is feeling better.

PS- Sno I am doing my best to INHALE........EXHALE My body in general did great on the trip.  I do need to make the call to the surgeon...procrastination is my middle name
