More from Dr. Rob,  this time patient rules

I kind of figured that I would not get much disagreement with my previous post (at least from patients).  It is easy for me to criticize my own profession and feel fairly safe, but turning the spotlight on patients makes is riskier.

My purpose in writing these posts is to get both sides looking at things through the other's perspective.  In this post I don't want to get patients feeling sorry for doctors; I want them to understand how they can either help or harm that relationship.

So here are the Patient Rules:

I had to laugh when I read the first one, just like my mom!  These are good rules to follow for good health.  Like I tell my mom, the doctor can't read your mind!
I don't think that's too much to ask from us. Also the last note about giving them positive feedback is a good one. I have written thank you for taking good care of me notes and let me tell you they really remember it. My letters were sincere but they treat me even better now.The patient rules seem intuitive, but it's always good to have a reminder. Are you in the medical profession Lynn?
The patient rules seem intuitive, but it's always good to have a reminder. Are you in the medical profession Lynn?
