Lee for moderator! | Arthritis Information

I nominate Lee for moderator of the RA board.  S/he's always helpful, providing great personal info and links about RA, seems to be reading every thread, and keeping tabs on the spammers.  If we get enough support, maybe we can ask the people/company that own the forums and site now if they will give her/him moderator powers to help keep misleading people like Ms. Goyal in check.

LOL. I do get carried away, don't I? Forgive me - it just goes against my grain when I read unsupported info being posted that could be dangerous to those vulnerable to it.

Very nice compliment...and I thank you....but I think we all share  this responsibility. Besides - it's not just me keeping track of the spamming. In the past couple days I've received private messages from several of you, venting about spamming and one individual in particular. Oh the exclamation marks in those messages!

As it turns out, the last couple days I've had the time to keep an eye out, though I'm not usually that lucky. So let's all make it a point to keep an eye out for this.

Lee123438701.0106481481I think this is a great idea. I second the nomination. I would also like to mention that Lovie and Waddles have a wealth of information as well.

I'm not sure you'll get much response from the admin on this forum. That's exactly why so many of us started RAFriends. We repeatily tried to contact the admin on issues and concerns we had and never got a response.

It's not really monitored like other forums that have actual active members involved daily. One of the draw backs here.....but AI's still got a big piece of my heart; and I have so many friends here that I can't help but continue to hang out here.

I learn so much from all of you.....no matter how long I live with this disease; I've always got so much to learn from all of you with first hand experience.

Where's RAFriends?  Never visited that site.

I have tried numerous times to get in touch with the owners of this site to see if we could have the ability for more inter-reaction with each other and as of yet, no one has ever answered......You can post messages but that is as far as the owners will let you go...If you want more inter-reaction with other board members, I suggest you join rafriends...

Yep...that's it. Come by and check it out. Lots of very active members there....it's got a slightly different feel to it. It's a lot more personal....not 100% arthritis; but that makes it fun.

Many close friends there. Everyone has really gotten to know each other....and for the most part; it all started here.

Thank you Lesle for your kind compliment.

I have always found that knowledge is our best friend when it comes to having to live with an illness. It helps me feel like I am in control of myself and not the illness, that is in control. So, when ever I find information on a subject that I think may be of help to someone, I stick it in my browser favorites for that rainy day, when some one may need help...

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Oh, yes, almost forgot. Waddles, I've seen your postscript at the bottom of your message. A friend of mine is a pathologist MD and his favorite saying is, "People get better in spite of modern medicine."

You made me look too!
I like RAFriends MUCH better. I haven't been back here in  a very long time.

Hi Lee,

Well there is ways to get around that "jocky". There is a link that you can click on to show you every post that has been posted in all forums and then the ones you do not visit stay marked as New until you click on them. I have some dating back about a week that are still marked as new.

It really is a simple forum to navigate once you read all the tips and tricks, which is available in the Supports Forum.

But Hey! If you think our site is not for you than that is fine we understand. We justed wanted to provide a better message board with admins to kick to spammers off and a bright cheery place.

Oh I knew I got you to come over to here Mags

I am good
