I told ya'll I did not have the damn flu! I went to my GP today and I have a sinus and ear infection! WOOHOO!!

I got RXed antibiotics. GP said the ER said I had the flu. I asked if she thought I had the flu... she said could have, but was not for sure since I did not have any of the symptoms, just a lot of upper congestion.

My mommy is out of the hospital. I guess they decided she did not have a bone infection. Thank GOD! She was on her way home when I was leaving out of GP's office. I am not for sure yet what all they said was wrong with her. She said she was going home and eating and going to rest. So... I am going to call her tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. They were greatly appreciated and needed.

In their face! It's a shame that doctors don't seem to learn....we know our bodies and maybe they should listen to us....

Hope the antibiotics work quickly Joonie.

I hope the antibiotics work for you.  And by the way, I was also told that even when then antibiotics clear the infection, the fluid and "stuffy" feeling can persist for up to a month.  Great..the ear I'm not partially deaf in is now plugged up.
What is your dosage of Coreg if you don't mind my asking?

Bob

I’d like to say something that has bothered me a little,

Please don't get offended, but doctors are human. I know sometime we get frustrated , especially when we are ill.

When a doctor misses something and gets it wrong, it is human nature to blow it up and magnify the mistake. What I find disheartening is that when they get it right we just go “oh yeah“ ok give me my pill...etc..

I feel doctors need understanding, they are smart, and there are good doctors that have extraordinary personality and then there are not so "likeable” characters but are talented in their field none the less.

My wish is to be a little easier on doctors, (and nurses) They are trained professionals, and remember we don't have to give them the "final" word on our health.

But, I always give them my respect. I have never had a doctor disrespect me, I have seen one doctor that I would never go back to, mostly because I did not understand his English

To Joonie,

I am glad you got the medicine you need and deserve. I hope you are better soon. Great news about your mom. It is hard to be sick and know a family member needs you also. Take care, get better girl.

Tink

First of all let me apologize for sounding like an ass with the comment I made.  So apologies to you tink...didn't mean to offend.   It's just the area that I'm in has MORE than it's share of stinkers. (no pun intended it's just the nicest way I can put it)

You and Jas are 100% right.  I believe that all of them deserve respect.....that is until they do something to not deserve it.  Then, by all means be upset.  So again...apologies if I came off rude and VERY ignorant.  I'm not...just a little quick tempered from time to time.

Sorry
Bob

By the way, great news about it not being a bone infection.  Take care

bob,

Hugs to you. You are a very kind man. Thanks for the clarification of how you really feel. I struggled with even saying anything, but it isn't just this post, I have read quite a few post, I realize that people are scared and frustrated, I just felt compelled tonight. Could be I want a cigarette and don't have any...because I QUIT!!!!....argh..

Repeats to self...I am a quitter..I am a quitter...I am a quitter...(I feel for you there too.  My wife quit smoking a good while back and she was miserable for a long time.  It's been 10+ years and she still sneaks one every now and again.  (she thinks I don't know but I can tell)  I know the last thing any of us wants is another pill, but in the end she had to rely on Wellbutrin to help her but she did eventually kick the habit.

One of these days I'll have to tell you about some of the experiences I've had with docs.  You will be floored by some of these folks I promise.  I do have some good ones now, but the duds I've gone through....the numbers are staggering.
