azulfidine and weight gain | Arthritis Information

Hello!

I have a question... It's a 2-parter

a) Does anyone take azulfidine?

b) If so...

1. How long did it take to work?

2. Have you had any weight gain or boob-bloating, bloating in general from it?

I have been on it 11 weeks and have gained 10 lbs and feel huge and bloated andmy boobs kill. It also hasn't helped yet!

I take azulfidine but have not had any weight gain. I've been on it for almost a year and to be honest, I don't think it's done much for me.

If you haven't changed anything as far as eating and exercise goes...I'd ask my doctor about that.

Nope, sorry! i have taken it for 6 years. it did help me, in fact, i've been taking it even though i am now on remicade (which is amazing) just because i'm a bit superstitious.

i am going to guess that the weight gain is not from the drug, but from the general fatigue and lack of exercise you are getting since the onset of r.a. i gained about 10 pounds a year for the 5 years that my r.a. was new and not yet under control. once i got it under control, i have not gained a poind (the past 4 years.)

just a guess... hope you find something that really helps you.
