Anyone use this for fever blisters? I have my third one in 3 months. I am calling my GP today to see what he thinks, but I wanted to ask around.

It's an amino acid.  Some studies suggest it may be helpful in preventing recurrences of herpes simplex eruptions.
The one thing one must remember about lysine is that you must also avoid foods that are high in arginine such as chocolate and nuts. So, if you are trying to use lysine to prevent a herpes outbreak, make sure you also cut down on foods high in arganine. If you are having a lot of herpes outbreaks, look at what you are eating and cut down on those foods. I'll find a list of high arginine foods and post.Taken from dietaryfiberfood.com

 This is driving me crazy. My husband says it is a very common virus, and some never get an outbreak. I am still waiting for the nurse to call back so I can check on a med , this is 3 in 3 months..
I also have been eating loads of foods...since I quit smoking. I have gained 3 pounds.
I am so ready for the beach and to spend time with my husband.
