Name that disease | Arthritis Information

I know we have some clever folks on here. I thought it'd be fun to come up with a new name for rheumatoid arthritis. You know, so people don't hear the "arthritis" part and automatically start complaining about their old highschool sports injury and say, "I know exactly what you're going through."

Systemic Organ ___________......hmmm fill in with a word of something that sounds painful and unique from "ARTHRITIS""" me too, so sick of individuals repeatedly thinking RA is ""Arthritis of the joints"" only.

I will check out my daughters medical terminolgy text to find maybe a prefix and suffix to put together.....

Just a pet peeve of mine.I was hoping for something funny, but I can't think of anything either. The only words that come to mind are incurable, debilitating and chronic. My husband said someone at work told him, "I'm suffering from anal gluacoma today. I can't see myself doing sh*t."

An autoimmune disease is the truth if you don't want to hang the "arthritis" nameplate on it.

I've tried that one. You'd be surprised at how many people don't know what autoimmune means! And if they do know, you get that nice dismissive shrug. I'd love to have something (humorous) that gets right to the point, lets people know how serious it is and the amount of pain that goes along with it. How about "Synovial Overload"?

That's exactly what happens, an increase in synovial fluid.

cancer.

I wonder if the term would include cancer in it somehow if that would be helpful.lymphoma...synovial lymphoma type word maybe
