Mrs Pincushion2009-03-13 06:08:17oooh oooh oooh!!  lovely things.. I love it!!
I forwarded your link to a friend who does metal sculpturing........

This is awesome! Absolutely gorgeous - thank you for sharing it with us!Very pretty!  Where's Marshall?  I'm just outside Ann Arbor, are you nearby?  I don't recognize the area code, but Mi Ave runs through my town too!Everything is beautiful! Fantastic, you should be very proud.  My mother strip quilted, and did gorgeous work.  Wish I had the patience, but I don't.  Congrats.  Linncn, Marshall is between you and Battle Creek, straight west on 94. Ever eat at the Common Grill in Chelsea? When we have something big to celebrate, that's where we like to go.I can't seem to find the quilting portion of the site' but everything is so beautiful....including the site itself. Is all of that yours? Very talented if so.

Stephen; you should submit some of your work. It would be a nice addition to the photography section.

Looking back now I see it's a collection of artist. Still not seeing the quilting section. Maybe you could post a link to that particular page? Although the other stuff probable interest me more.
Lovie2009-03-14 06:54:47Blue, I've never been to the Common Grill, but my husband has a couple of buddies that he meets there sometimes.   He loves it!Beautiful! It is SO GREAT to see a fine craft gallery that is supporting fiber art! I love the bright colors and hope it means spring is coming... Great work! Thank you so much for sharing! I hope the show is a great success for the artists and the gallery!

I am an art quilter, too -- I sent the gallery a note referring them to my site as I love to make the work but have such a hard time marketing it! The RA gives me only so much energy, as you all know, and it is already split 150 ways...it's a full time job in addition to the full time job I already have...I am sure this is a common thread for most of us om the list.

Anyway, actively seeking an agent or marketing guru that wants to sell my work on commission!
Have a great day,
Amy Amy, got your email and replied.  Look forward to working together.

Lovie, did you find the tiny quilt on the first page?  Or go to the "about us" section and scroll down to see the show.  http://bluehourgallery.com/aboutus/#tos

Linncn, Marshall is a very cool little town.  Three galleries, many antique stores, and many restored old homes.  You should make the drive sometime this summer - it only takes an hour or so.

Thanks everyone, for the nice comments on the gallery.  It's a tough time to be in retail, as you might imagine.  I was starting to lose my confidence in my ability to choose appropriate work, since no one was buying last year.  But we all have to hang in there till things improve.  I've seen comments from others in financial difficulties here.  Drug co-pay just went up, etc etc.  I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.  Anyway!  Thanks!
WOW; that's really pretty. I actually did see this before....but it looks so much like Art; I didn't realize it was a quilt! Beautiful.Really, really nice work Bluehour.  My sister is a quilter and I am so jelous of all the beautiful things she creates.  When I visit her we spend hours going through her samplers and quilts.  It boggles the mind how you can create all of these great pieces of art.  I also have a girlfriend who is very well known for her quilting and has been written up in some of the quilters books.  I am envious of your talent.Hallo, I am very new here with arthritis . The work in your gallery is most beautiful. Do you have sore leg to . My work is I can not do .  My leg sore and I sleep lot. My english is better can you read me.Teed, I wish that was all my work. I don't even sew. I just own the gallery and choose what I display. Actually I used to do cross stitch and crewel embroidery, but not any more because my hands are too sore. I am a pastelist, if you click on paintings you can see two of my pieces, the bottom row, middle and right.

Pascale, welcome. Thanks for the compliment on the gallery. Lovie, glad you found the quilts.I really enjoyed the photos of your gallery show and I saw your paintings too. Talent!

You've motivated me to make another of my small quilted fabric landscapes. I'll try to get hubby to put some photos on computer so I can show you.

With this fatigue and unpredicatable finger function, I seem to never go to the quilt store anymore. That means I no longer have the commaraderie of other women who like to quilt. So, that's why this particular OT is of such interest to me... actually, it's not really OT in this case, is it?
