Does anyone know what the difference is in the diagnosis between these two?  Thanks.

Hi Kim
I am not familiar with the sero-negative arthritis but poly is infection in the blood vessels (they think) hence the head to toe pain and swelling.  Maybe someone else can answer to the arthritis part and help you out.  You sound like you have your plate full.

Take good care.

pkmsdrag,

Not sure exactly about the medical jargon, but I know one can have rheumatoid arthritis without testing positive for it. I think that is what is meant by sero-negative. You can google it or find out elsewhere on the internet. Have they done bloodwork to test for the rheumatoid factor and other things? Sometimes it takes a while for the RA factor to show up, and sometimes it takes a while, too, for the RA symptoms to be fully manifested. I hope you don't have rheumatoid arthritis. All of these arthritis conditions are no fun, but I think I'd rather have PMR than RA. Just my opinion. I know the folks on this forum are really suffering with the PMR. Keep us posted.
