Prayers needed~ energy? the move | Arthritis Information

hi guys, I really could use some good prayers right now

These are prayers needed: That $$ comes in and that there is a way to get all my stuff , safely to Nc.. that I find a rental car/suv.. under 200 bucks.. for 8 days.. or someone needs someone for the ride and has an empty Suv, for May 15th 2009.
2.) Find a great person, safe, honest, to be my driver and do most of the driving. Pay for their share of gas and own motel room/food.
3)  That i find a great loyal, honest provider/ caregiver, here in ca (later in nc) but right now
ASAP, that loves to clean and will take me to my numerous dr appts.

Thanks~
The Story:
I'm um moving, lol back to Nc, 3000 miles away... my choice.
Its a spiritual thing.. i feel its where I'm meant to be and parts of me are scared and others thrilled.. i want to get my "mojo" back!
Its my soul home~

I really appreciated all the people who wrote and encouraged me, to not worry about the winters and go where my heart is, thks!!
So now I have another huge prayers/ asking,  ..
I have enough $$ for gas, motels and food.. But.. i HAVE NO car, no way to get me and my stuff out there!! (cats are a natural inclusion
I seriously thought i could (and did think , I had a rental for 11.99 a day, thank goodness, i rechecked, i was wrong..
So I really need a way to make this happen.. plus, I need someone to drive w/ me.
Have an ad, in craigs, for someone who might need a ride, in exchange for driving and paying their share, of gas.  Plus maybe someone needs something moved back there and will help pay..
i have .. will have just about 200  for the rental.. so any ideas.. prayers..
Thanks!!  (I believe the impossible can happen.. an optomist!! lol

I know I can do this... its just really impt to do this the wk, before Memorial Day Wkend and summer gas prices go up and stay up.

Also my provider is absolutely horrid, she has these entitlement issues, doesn't show up, has "her own time schedule"

so I need a New provider, that will be great on cleaning, show up on time and take me to dr appts.. ( i have at least 11.. of them.. 3 rootcanals, (Ca is shutting off their dental program for medicaid/care patients)..

Nine wks, faint and i'm sick, really sick.. thank goodness, one of my friends/ neighbors is really helping me.. but theres soo muchthat Only I can do , ya know.. paperwork, etc.

Anyway, thanks for your prayers, thoughts, any ideas~

Blessings and joys
a very tired, sore Whispered... (overwhelmed a tad, lol )You can get a one-way flight from California to North Carolina for 5 or so.  Ship your stuff via UPS or FedEx and fly. hi Whisper,
my prayers are with you! Did you ck out a rental truck? Also, instead of hotel you could camp at any Wal-mart across America. They have security and most are open 24 hours. Probably won't do well on the ra. So give it up to God. He works in mysterious ways.
Hang in there.
Jasmine, I would love, Love to fly!!!!!!
but the cats seriously , one would die of a heart attack..
I've flown the most mellow cat,  ever.. 3,000 miles and it took him, a month to recover.
These 2, just would be too tramatic for.. shrug..
(I know it seems weird, that a quick plane trip, better, but I swear its not)...
All the vets, I've talked to say meds are awful, plus the noise of the airplane and all the people around my used to be feral cat.. nooooooo)

I've looked into the u-haul, upak.. and all are like 1599... faint..
Even the storage containers, for one room, cost 1200.. again faint..

I'm going to make some more calls, I've tried at least 10 travel places, expedia, orbitz, etc, etc.
The biggest problem is renting a car and returning it, to a different place.
 Costs a lot more..

My criminal mind (which I don't act on :P) lol wonders what would happen, if i rent a car and say I'm going to return it to the same place.. . and actually it ends up in Nc..
(and I've cancelled that cc).. i'm soo bad.. not doing it.. just the things the mind thinks!! lol

My dream would be rent a Toyota Prius, just me and cats, someone else hauls the stuff!
Its going to be very tight money wise... I'll be making less dollars, on SS and paying more in rent.. crazy but true..

so I really need all the good thoughts, positive vibes, and ideas i can get !!!

ps: yes cindee, have to give more up to God... and thats why I have such deep faith..
just figured some extra prayers couldn't hurt and thks :)

Whispered2009-03-15 21:32:38Is it critical that you move at the date you've selected?  Can't you wait a bit until you are better prepared financially to make this move?  You are cutting it so close financially, if anything out of the ordinary occurs, you are flirting with financial disaster.  I can certainly understand your wanting to make a move to where you feel you will be happier, but I think you should be smart and do it the right way, especially since you say it will be tough to make it once you get to NC.

My suggestion would be to sell as much of your stuff as you can, so you can raise some cash, and so you don't have to pay to move it.  When you have a definite goal, you can work hard at saving money and scrimping and saving to get to a place where you'll be better able to do this.

Also, I would look into what a rail pass costs, and if you can take your cats on the train.  If so, that might be a way to to travel where you can rest, and the cats won't be as freaked out.  I would also work with them and get them used to walking on a leash, so that you can take them out of their carriers and let them walk around, no matter how you end up traveling.  My mom has a cat she trained to walk on a leash, and he traveled very well with her that way.
Hi, have you heard of backloading, removal companies travel interstate or whatever and so that they can make some money on the return trip, they do backloading very cheap, phone some removal companies.  Have you asked your church (if you have a faith) for any help, they can be great in times of crisis, all the best, hugs Janie. Some good suggestions made to look into...my prayers are going up. My you made it easy-telling just what prayers are needed!
All the best to you for a smooth transition!
I'm with HH about waiting until you are in a better situation financially.  I know that that "better situation" time sometimes doesn't ever seem to get here.   My wife and I have put some things off until we were better off money-wise and for one reason or another, that wonderful, elusive time on the clock still hasn't gotten here.

If you can't wait, then I pray that everything works out for you.  Our vet gave us some medicine that made our cats sleepy and were better able to tolerate the travel.  We didn't notice any after effects after we got to the other end.  Even though I know putting out any money at all would be a hardship at this time, this would be pretty inexpensive and your cats would probably appreciate it.  Also, I think your church would be a great resource for some of the things you need.  The youth group at our church are wonderful movers, lol.

Anyway, my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

[QUOTE=Hillhoney] Ps.  I AM HUMMMMMING FOR YOU! I have no ideas re: moving on a shoestring budget, however I wish you the very best outcome and add my OmmmmH, to Waddie's Hummmmm.

Cheers, Shug
Any chance youre related to Roxy??? Whispered, I will prayer for you, I have been back and fords 3 times over the years. It's not easy, I always got rid of everything, just keep little stuff , that can't be replaced.  most can be replace cheap in yard sales.  if your not on ss, the pay is more than double on ssi. in CA.  I take care on grandson money and he gets 907.00 a month, plus cheaper rent, (240.) a month, reduce telephone (just wemt up I think it was (6) reduced Elec. plus medical, and if you can't fix you smog they will pay for it or put money toward another car if it can't be fixed, there a lot more, but right now they are cutting some after going broke.
Good luck with the move, but make sure its the right one.

See thats the thing, if you always wait for the "right time" it may never happen.
I've always seemed nuts to people, lol, well I am bipolar :P lol
This is a well planned move, compared to about 50 others, (planning months, not wks or days in advance)...
I truly believe and have faith, that things are going to work out ok. I knew, by posting, I would get some digs, (don't remember roxy, sounds familiar).. but the people out there who care... just care.. I know I'll get their support and I need that.
I do believe this is what the "Divine" wants and I do believe, even tho scared, that it WILL work out.. You wouldn't believe how many amazing things, that have happened to me,  when I've gone on faith.. how people show up.. that I've never met and helped.
When things seemed impossible..  I do appreciate all the suggestions.. Ohhh Amtrack, sigh, ahh that would be sooo fantastic, but they don't take cats.. I've waded thru a flood, drove thru fire, for my cats. ( Another thing, people might say was crazy)..They're my babies.

Janie, hmmm havent tried that yet..good idea..
ohh I am getting rid of almost everything in my apt.
(Almost all of it FREE, from visualizing and believing :D) Have to keep my Grandma's cedar chest, but the rest.. big garage sale!!
ohh rusty, thats one of the first things, I did was check on how much, I'd be getting,
and thats hard.. like I said, I'll be making less, larger rent, but my SOUL is going to be sooo happy!!
Thats what counts.. Thks for the support and any more ideas, thoughts, (positive) keep them coming!!
Big BIG THANKS!!! to All for Prayers and suggestions, Means a lot to me!!
 Blessings and Joy
Whispered~  and yeah, I don't get it either, but Spirit says May, lol.
Amazing things can happen w/ faith and yes, reassuring myself, lol hee

Whispered2009-03-16 21:40:36whisper... I don't have any advice because I haven't moved for 20 years. That time we moved to only 15 minutes away, our income was decent and I didn't have RA.  Soon, I will be forced to leave our 3 bed home to hopefully at least a tiny one bed apt, but the when is still unknown and therefore, so is the where.  We've had some meetings with apt managers, but without knowing if we need it in 2 months or 6 months means we can't put one on hold.  Due to my hubby having a job, only min wage now but it does provide health ins (we pay for mine but only at the group rate), we will move to a place within 30min for gas expense for his commuting. But, with our no-money situation and my limitations, I would sure like to know what you eventually found to be helpful.
yes, you are in my prayers,
CathyMarie
Whjsper, like I said we have made the move 3 times and it was alway hard, it was finding a job, home and new church,  and trying to start a new life.  We loved it and things would alway work out.  and I will be praying that ever thing works out for you.
Enjoy life while you can, one day you'll be like me to old to go anywhere but the doctor's office.......lol......You north or south Ca.
