new drug | Arthritis Information
Has anyone tried arava (not sure on spelling) yet? I am starting tomarrow have to take 100mg first 3 days the 20 mg a day after that. The doc said if I have a reaction they have to give drug to get it out of my system?
Oh well cant take mtx or remicade so why not try it.

I have had Arava, but it was not successful with me. I had horrible gastro pain... to the point of having to visit the gastro doc. Turn out to be the Arava. I hope it works better for you. Good luck!
I tried Arava for awhile, but had horrible side effects including bad dreams and very heavy periods. I hope it works better for you.Hi
I'm doing ok on arava...no side effects...don't panic if you get side effects on the 100mg ( a lot of drs are skipping that step due to them) many people don't get the gastro problems on the lower dose
I took Arava but it wasn't the med. for me. Really messed up my liver enzymes. But, I do know people that have had great results with it.I have been on Arava about four months with good results. The gastro side effects tapered off after the first few weeks. For me, the effectiveness of the medication outweighs the temporary side effect.
