Cortisone shots and aspirating are the bees knees! | Arthritis Information

So after 2 weeks and one REALLY REALLY horrible weekend where I could barely move my leg, I was invited into the office for my first ever cortisone shot and aspirating of my knee.

While I will admit that the aspirating was painful when they punched through the lining (holy crap ouch)... that it was FREAKING AMAZING how well my leg felt when I left.

I didn't limp out of there when I left (which was how I came in).
I got in and out of my car with no pain.
I could climb the stairs to my condo.

And I could turn over in my sleep without excruciating pain... HOLY CRAP!!!

I just have to say I am extremely happy how with things went and the results and I wish now that they would have taken pity on me earlier and done it a week ago! goood abby!!  glad to hear that!   Don't stress the joint though.... take it easy

and good luck!!!

Abby... that's great!

Try to not let it get that bad again; your doctor should pay attention better now when you tell him.

You're preaching to the choir here Abby. I just LOVE my cortisone shots!

Abby.... you can't possibly be old enough to say "bees knees"! Although, I must admit you did so correctly, it is so apropo for your condition, and it's a cute image!
